Muslims need to see images that amount to more than terrorists and religious fanatics. Hispanics need to see more than gangbangers, illegals and maids. Interracial families and gay families want to see their lived experience reflected back to them, and collectively we all need see each other in a positive light. Disney has gotten all kinds is special business concessions over the years and initially didn’t comment about the Bill until pressured by Gay employees. That said, I don't believe the average gay person wants to indoctrinate children. They just want to be free to live and not hide who they are. People getting mad simply because a gay person is represented are being silly. Just because I don't agree with a lifestyle doesn't mean that person doesn't have a right to exist. There is a whole lot of content that I don't wish to be exposed to for one reason or the other, but the world doesn't revolve around me, awesome as I am. Gay folks aren't going away or stop seeking to have better representation. There has to be a way to teach kids that person so and so is free to do xyz, but we don't believe in that or do that in our family.

Kids are molested at all ages. Being at school or church or with family is not guaranteed protection. That's often where abuse takes place. Many have had some sort of talk about inappropriate touching. Often abused kids experiment with other kids because they think that mess is normal. They have to have knowledge about things I didn't have to worry about until I was much older

When I was growing up I dont recall any families with gay parents. Most of my friends had two parent households. Thats no longer the case. Kids are going to talk about their two moms or their two dads. If they draw a pic of their families and have two moms or dads, other kids are going to ask questions. I don't see how you avoid exposure without strictly limiting and controlling all class discussions and activities, even ones such as drawing pics of the fam that would be non controversial if gay folk didn't exist.
