There Seems To Be No Evidence That Stetson Bennett Graduated From The University Of Georgia, Despite Being In College Since 2017

I'm not even mad, I'm thoroughly impressed. I'm sure the UGA football team's academic advisors are cutting a couple corners here and there, but to keep your 25-year-old quarterback eligible despite the fact he was seemingly not attending a single class of his entire college career is truly remarkable. It takes buy-in from every person in the program to win back-to-back titles, I guess.

I'd pay entirely too much money for a behind-the-scenes documentary of what Bennett's days looked like the past couple years. This guy was running around campus at 25 years old with neither a college degree nor a care in the world. That's the dream if I've ever heard it.

Bennett should have left Georgia with a Ph.D. for all the years of free school he received and instead found a way to make it seven years without a bachelor's degree. Legendary stuff.

By not officially retiring Colts are still on the hook for his contract :rolleyes2::money::money::money:

But, he added, “P.S. — this is not a retirement post.”

The 37-year-old Ryan is coming off a disappointing season with the Indianapolis Colts, who acquired him in a trade last year after he spent 14 seasons with the Atlanta Falcons.

Ryan was twice benched by the Colts and finished the season as the third-string quarterback. He was released in March in a move that saved Indianapolis about $17.2 million in salary cap space for 2023.

After going two months without landing with another team, Ryan decided to give broadcasting a try.

“It is truly an honor to join this exceptional team at CBS Sports,” he said in a statement released by CBS. “I have been blessed to have incredible teammates throughout my career and I am fortunate that will continue here working with and learning from the very best in the industry.”

Ryan is one of the most prolific quarterbacks in NFL history, spending nearly all of his 15-year career with the Falcons.

He guided Atlanta to six playoff appearances, three division titles and won the MVP award in 2016 as the Falcons reached the Super Bowl for only the second time in franchise history. They held a 28-3 lead over New England late in the third quarter of the title game, only to have Tom Brady direct a stunning comeback that ended with the Patriots winning 34-28 in overtime.

Report: According to Bob Brookover of NJ Advance Media, #Giants Saquon Barkley also rejected a significant offer from the organization. #NYGiants

"The Giants, according to sources, offered Barkley a multi-year deal worth $12.5 million a season at the bye week, then increased that number to $13 million with a chance to get to $14 million in incentives shortly after the season.

"Barkley rejected both deals."

Seems like he just wants out at this point.

A lot of rumors being put out but realistically Saquon has no bargaining power. The market has already dictated that RBs are on the lower end of the salary scale and he already passed on a deal that was more than what the market is dictating for the position. G-Men can basically tell him take it or leave it cuz they have no reason to overpay him. Them even negotiating is good enough gesture to show that they're interested in keeping him. The Gettleman years of competing against themselves in salaries given are gone.

Over 20 XFL players from 2023 have signed NFL contracts and the list could grow in the coming weeks and months. If any signed players return to the XFL, their 2023 teams will retain their rights for 2024.

I'd change the following:

  • Matt Ryan for Primetime (lolz is this even in question?)
  • Ladanian Tomlinson for Kellen Winslow (GOAT TE of all time).
  • Aaron Donald for Deacon Jones.
  • Revis for Namath (Super Bowl III win and Namath's predictions puts him over)
  • Jerry Rice for Montana (Rice was a beast. Montana is arguably the GOAT QB.)
