Meltzer said it's the largest gate ever in England and the second largest in Europe. It's also AEW's largest gate ever. Impressive indeed. They still got to reach 50k for it to be a win and it's looking like that may happen sooner than later.
Oh wow. So both Dark Elevation and Dark are done. I thought they were just getting rid of Elevation. I guess the talent that were featured on those shows will be moved to ROH.

This is very impressive, especially considering no card has been announced for it yet.
I remember seeing Impact do very well in the UK a while back, so I'm not surprised AEW's show sold so well. I don't really follow AEW all that much, but it's good to see wrestlers get additional opportunities, outside of WWE to perform in front of international audiences in a stadium setting.
This is cool. I don't know if any of you ever listened to the podcast show "Grapsody" Saturday mornings on youtube but it was basically three black men talking about wrestling for three hours and it was good because you got the black perspective. Will was the host of that show and he did an excellent job. Last week he announced that he leaving "Grapsody" but didn't say what he would be doing moving forward. Now it makes sense as he's been hired by AEW. Congrats to him as he's really a good dude.
My girl is back but they still should turn her heel. They need to do a Kill Bill All Joshi faction with Shida as the final boss in the role of O-Ren Ishii. With proper storytelling it could be great.
This is good because you want to map things out in advance but Tony's problem is he gets too stuck in his plans he doesn't know when to call audibles so when someone gets hurt like Kris Statlander it holds up storylines. He should've been got the TBS belt off of Jade but because his plan is to have Statlander be the one to beat Jade it's made the TBS worthless. When Statlander got hurt I would've called an audible and had Shida beat Jade. Then have Shida run with it until Statlander is ready to come back.
This is pretty cool. I kinda wanted a promotion to take a chance on him for a long time. I listened to Rocketbusta Radio for years back in the early 2000's. Dude has a great memory down to the dates when it comes to pro wrestling. You can tell he can approach the business from the perspective of a fan and as a personality that's part of the production of the product.
Never heard of him but happy for people of color to be given opportunities.
Fantastic match this morning between Natsupoi and Mina Shirakawa. I was mixed on who I wanted to win because I'm a HUGE Mina mark however Natsupoi is rapidly rising up the ranks with her ring work. In the end I am glad Mina retained.
More high speed greatness from AZM today in another successful title defense. AZM has now had 12 High speed title defenses.

Double standards exist and yes, it's fucked up that they do....but I agree, they are tone-deaf if they don't see how this shirt could be an issue.
