Guns are legal in America, via the second amendment. And weed is decriminalized in most of the country.

I have no problem with cops doing their job but I do have a problem with the unequal "justice" dispensed to blacks vs. whites.

No Okie Doke here bruh. Just an experienced brother that knows how to connect dots. I get that we have 2nd amendment rights that should be respected. This isn't the issue. A college student with weed, 7k and a gun paints a completely different picture. Just like a person with a Molotov cocktail. Anyone can have some gasoline in their car. But gasoline in a bottle with a rag hanging out paints a different picture. Even if I give this kid the benefit of the doubt and he's done nothing wrong, why start crying in front of the cops?

The right is not without restrictions. It is not absolute. Felons can’t ride around with a gun for example. In Texas, if you are breaking a law, possession of a gun is illegal. For instance, if you have a lil bag of weed and a gun, possession of the gun becomes illegal.

Those “restrictions” that you listed are not necessarily constitutional.
What do you think the second amendment is about? Do you think waaaay back in 1776 they were trying to protect your right to hunt? Or go to the firing range? Or self defense (when a group of Indians could come and scalp you at any moment?)
People get the 2nd amendment fucked up, it was enacted to keep you armed, in case the government tries some fuck shit. Under that reading, does it make sense to keep guns away from people who served their time successfully?

Having weed, getting scared and running from the cops is "ignorant criminal shit?" As I said above, having a gun is neither criminal or ignorant, it's American.
Tell that to the judge along with why you had a felony amount of weed and ran from the cops, both of which are criminal offenses in that jurisdiction.
You may not want them to be, but they are. We can debate whether or not they should be, but in the meantime live in reality.
