I am looking for advice (I.e. Bidding etiquette, titling, shipping, etc)
I wouldn’t do it to each is own. Bikes go way to fast for some type of malfunction to happen. The Joey Dunlop documentary called “Road” His rear tire three star spoke rim blew up and he died. My bike has to be super tight with dealership inspections. Top speed 193mph 2013 BMW HP4
I understand the concern, but don’t have the same convenience.
Yes ... You can get some good deals. I used to build them all the time. look at the ppictures closely and be patient.
Be sure you can handle the build depending on the damage. Avoid frame damage at all costs unless you have the skill set to make the repair, enough money to pay someone who knows how to do it the right way or are willing to do a frame swap. You can use a company like USHIP or similar to get it home but onlime bidding is pretty straight forward. The one you posted looks to be in pretty good shape. It wont be super cheap.
Just make sure you double check all the bolts and torque specs and you should be fine. Be safe!!
I do hotshot, and transport a few here and there. You can pay someone to go inspect it
Hot shot is a transportation method. Hotshots often take several bikes at a time to places especially to and from auctions. Can you tell me what hotshot is? And where would I find someone to inspect it (I am not even in the country). I have been referred by a friend to a garage in hollywood, florida to do the repairs, but the pre-inspection would be great.

He was suggesting that maybe you find someone local or a person like himself who is going through that way to have a look at the bike for unseen damage ( Cracked Frame) or whatever. Where are you located ?
Copart has locations across the entire united states.Jamaica bro, and I won't have the time this year to deal with it face to face, so I am seeking some trustworthy resources. My contact who could look at it, I presume, lives in Florida, and I have another link in New york. But wouldn't they have to travel directly to copart to do the inspection?
I am just noticing the different locations for the bikes. Is it that copart has multiple lots?
So.... unseen damage on an a track bike wont kill you ?Only if you are using it for a track/stunt bike.
Before copart and online auction sites there used to be warehouses that sold wrecked bikes as-is. The biggest one was in South Florida. I forget the name of the place but I have been there a few times with some of my riding buddies. You would find everything from sportsbikes to cruisers.
My buddies had a racing team and would scout the place for a potential racing bike. It was a good source for parts and rebuild bikes.
But for street use .... nah, I can't recommend that. The damage you don't see is what can kill you.

Lets get one thing very clear....
People buy and sell used bikes all day everyday.
Nobody knows what any of them have been through or where they came from
especially when you buy from an individual owner.
Dealers buy bikes at auction constantly.
They Make repairs on The ones they dont part out
and then mark them up to retail, put them on the sales floor and sell them back to the public.
Ive been in this bike game for over 35 years and nothing about it has changed.
Unless youre buying a brand new bike at the dealer with a warranty nothing is guarenteed.... Period
Thanks for the tip famoThe auctions usually have a few places that have inspectors you can pay to view the vehicle. Call tomorrow and ask
