That 25 limit counter starts again next season. So his roster will look like shit. His graduating class would be something like 40 plus
Idk how the roster will look, I know dude been doing things folks said he wasn’t gonna do or he couldn’t do..
Dude got commitments from players that people said would never go to Colorado.

If his roster looks like shit so be it… last year team had a total of 21 offensive td’s

Three of his incoming wideouts had 3/4 of that…

I’m just saying tho

Jimmy horn - 3
Xavier Weaver - 6
Willie Gaines - 5

His roster building has me bit nervous

You be nervous I ain’t…. This shit making me mad I wasn’t playing attention when he rebuilt JSU roster.

Dude only can do so much…

The staff had a late start to this rebuild…with little to no NIL funds

You ask me they done excellent under those conditions…

Getting a few 2nd & 3rd string defenders from the SEC to replaced players that was mentally checked out, is a win.

BUT I think the most important thing is Shedeur looks great. Yea it was against his team and they wasn’t out for his head.
The arm strength and ball placement is what I watched closely during the spring game.

When sign another qb who can throw and make those reads, I’ll feel really good about the season…. Staub is ok, but he’s just a freshman, actually he’s kinda still in highschool(I think he went to prom yesterday).
So depth is key, at every position… they gonna have like 5 wideouts that can go. When you running plenty of go routes you need those legs.
Same as corners, seem like they signing depth just to cover the other teams spread attacks.

It will be interesting to see if Shedeur is that dude and can handle the pressure of real athletes

Man i just want dude to be healthy and have the same production as he had at JSU.

He didn’t hurt the team with costly turnovers, he didn’t have multiple bad throws back to back

One issue I saw, is i felt he kinda hold the ball a little too long at times
(But this Sean Lewis scheme don’t allows that to happen. They getting the ball out on 3 step drops)

Let’s look at his stats

if he have close to these JSU numbers

This would have his team competing pretty good…especially when this other dude put up these stats

One issue may be talent. Will he have enough talent around him and can they get open. Who is their tight end?

They didn’t have problems getting opened on their other teams. So I don’t know why there will be a problem now.

Tight end, ummmm very interesting question. The guy who was posed to shine ain’t shined. He actually just re-entered the portal after committing in December.
Which makes it 4 portal guys to leave now.

Thats a good question on talent
I see WR-Jimmy Horn Jr, WR-Mathis Jr, WR/CB-Travis Hunter, and RB-Dylan Edwards
with the ability of speed and separation from defenders.

As for Tight end, Off. coord. Sean Lewis really don't utilize TEs in his scheme.

Which is why the TE from England was pissed and send cryptic messages “they tell you anything” and so on. He entered the portal.

I think there two guys coming in with that jimmy horn/ edwards speed… so they gonna have some burners

I heard a little birdie chirp that Montana is seeking a nice NIL deal at CU. That person seems to believe that’s why he entered the portal. While other believe he left because he wasn’t gonna be the number one on the depth chart.
Some think the reason Shane Hooks left Ole Miss is because Montana entered the portal. It’s interesting because Hooks just graduated Friday along with Shilo.
One thing I do know is, Montana is tight with the Sanders family.

Defenses will probably crowd the box and force the Buff to make the wideouts make plays. It will also be interesting with how the online holds up with the blitz and pass rush

Stack the box on 4 wide sets with two 4.3 40 guys in the slots…

the odds should be on the offensive side

Especially when the scheme is to get 1on 1 matchups in space….

I’m say this, if what you described is true and Shedeur stay healthy…. The pac will have two qb’s who are finalists for the heisman.

(I won’t even suggest if Travis Hunter get like 9 tds and 5 picks…I’m bring this up later :yes:)

Hey Mask, do you know if they have put out a current roster or the transfers in and out...i can't follow all this twitter activity..lol

Players like this dude will feast…. we’ll see if he thinks CU is a good fit

Played at a small school but could be that big body outside…

This a little dated but they likely will revise tonight

4/27 update: 30 players have entered the portal since the spring game and four players have committed to Colorado. The Buffs currently have 60 scholarship players out of 85.

Unfortunately it does not work that way. Just having speed means nothing. There are just to many ways to scheme speed into being ineffective.

For speed to be effective, your QB will need time to throw the ball. Teams will stack the box forcing the Buff to throw the ball. For speed to be effective, you need time to throw.

Defensively you would sit on routes. This will force the wideouts to makes plays like I mentioned earlier. Can they get separation at the line of scrimmage and are good route runners?

And if you try and go deep, will the pass protection allow the play to develop? UM probably had the fastest receiving core in the NCAA but our passing game was abysmal because we could not pass protect. Receivers can’t get down field if the QB is under pressure as soon as the ball is snapped

I doubt there’s more than 2 of those teams in the Pac.

Colorado shaping their defense to be tight on the boundaries… Seems like this is the unconventional way.

Turning the roster over..wow

:giggle: :giggle: :giggle: :giggle:

The system don’t fits pass catching tight ends… they felt he’d adapt to becoming two dimensional but didn’t. Seem like Tim Brew always said he needs to be tougher. Sean Lewis tightends block more than running routes.

If it was the systems that they had in JSU, he’d shine

Couple things…

Players who enter the portal can withdraw and return to said school…

The portal closed at 11:59 on Sunday. So no more entries, just commitments from here.

While we’re focusing on Colorado, there’s some others school who saw many unexpected players leaving in droves.

Here at Colorado we knew it would be spring cleaning. That wasn’t the cases for these other programs.
