Y’all still debating this “crossover” term lol the general definition is when someone is able to make a mainstream appearance at least once, it’s like with music when an artist goes pop, it could be for a short period, but a large audience is able to discover them. That’s literally it.
But to your point though about the streaming era, the movie star aka “box office draw” is dead. That’s why a lot of these actors go to Netflix, Hulu or any shows on those platforms. It’s consistent work for them and where the money is it with studios. These people just need consistent work like everyone else.
