Now they're saying he's willing to take a non-fully guaranteed contract elsewhere.
That Harbaugh soundbite sounds like a person trying to prevent their spouse from leaving by blocking the way out.
Josh has an agent. Lamar does not. An agent would have helped close that gap for Lamar.
Also, Allen was a higher draft pick and has already agreed to a new deal.
I disagree. An agents sole job is to get the person they represent the best deal/deals possible.Fair points.
But I don't think having an agent is such an automatic problem solver that people think it is. We have heard horror stories for decades about bad agents too.
And again I actually agree with you about the agent stuff.
And your point about Allen agreeing to a new deal is SPOT ON.

Regardless of how many injuries Lamar has had (which I think is one of the main factors here), an agent, negotiating on his behalf, would have a better chance to get a deal for Lamar than the man himself.

I came up with a good analogy talking to a white guy about the Lamar Jackson contract demands. He said isn’t $175 million guaranteed enough? And remember they tried to sell the narrative of not having an agent as being stupid for a long time. With Kawaii too. Come to find out Uncle Dennis wasn't just some guy in his family but a senior finance executive.
All I'm saying is we gotta be careful with just assuming anything. Cause Lamar mama ain't no dummy.

If Will Smith & Denzel Washington are going to be partners in a new movie for $20M each. But Will Smith is radioactive right now.
Warner Brothers guarantees Will Smith $20M even if the movie doesn't come out, but will only guarantee Denzel $15M, but only if the movie comes out.
If Denzel says he won't do the movie unless he gets the same guarantee as well Smith. He's more accomplished (2 Oscars to Will Smith 1), he doesn't have any scandals, and he's a much better actor
One could argue that he is more deserving of the 20 million dollar guarantee
White boy didn't have shit to say

Allen has not missed any games due to injury since he was named the starter. Mahomes as well if I recall correctly.Ether level.
Folk acting like Massage boy ain't tear 2 ACLs
Like Allen Kyler Mahomes burrow have not ALL been injured too.
Remember dem white boys did NOT want to give Lamar that MVP. He had to damn near TAKE IT.
they found every excuse pre draft post draft every year to sh*t on him no matter how much he won or carried that team on his back.
So we cool with bum ass Cousins getting 2 franchise tags and a fully guaranteed contract but NOT Lamar??!!
Why they MAD at Lamar?
Blame the Browns.
Might as well blame Cousins too.
They using every bad contract against Lamar.
So they BETTER do the same when these white QBs are up next.
They better.
I so wish the NFL gets sued for collusion.
Look at the bullsh*t contract Geno got when you really crunch the numbers.
Looking at you Giants... WTF 40 million a year!
Nah, I hear you cuzzo. But in his case an agent would have squashed all this bullshit and had a deal in place. Trust meFair points.

MY POINT IS HE'D BE IN A MUCH BETTER PLACE WITH AN AGENT. THATS MY POINT CUZZO.Ok....
So we gonna ignore how many agents got fired this off season?
I see you Danny Dimes
Then I don't want to hear anything going forward about contract negotiations being an issue since having an agent is an apparent cure all.
So all deal made an agent are good deals now.
And the OWNER the TEAM and the LEAGUE
ALL have these young black men nest interests at heart
Got yeah
Bookmarked

But he brought this on himself. Dude should have had an agent. It was HIS decision not to have one. Is it right what's happening to him. No. But he outsmarted himself here. Just pay the damn 3% and get it over with. And I completely agree
but I also believe this exposed a whole lot of collusion not only among teams but between agents and ALL against the player.
Bruh….
An agent is like a lawyer. How many times have defendants successfully defended themselves in court? Yeah, you may hear of the occasional case where a defendant was able to win a case on his own, but nine times out of ten, he ain’t getting anywhere near a legal victory unless a lawyer is there representing him.
Same thing with sports agents. Yeah, an athlete could technically represent himself and may be able to negotiate a good deal…but the likelihood of that happening isn’t that great, which is why so few athletes, like defendants, go the self representation route.

Oh I agree with you 100% cuzzo. He tried to be a trailblazer for others. Sometimes you sacrifice yourself in doing so and don't come close to your objective. Others seeing this aren't gonna go near venturing down this path. Ultimately I'm just happy it fucks the Ravens. Hate that fuckin organization, that coach and their tough as hell fans.Damn it.
Your not wrong cuzzo.
600k saves a lifetime of headache
But I feel he did this for all the players not just for himself

Also, an agent is a buffer. When a team talks about a player's shortcomings during negotiations, the agent won't take it personally.I disagree. An agents sole job is to get the person they represent the best deal/deals possible.

He'll ask for it. And actually, I anticipate some issues with the cheap ass Bengals with this. Ultimately a deal will get done, but I guarantee he won't get what he initially asks for. Not just like that. Remember, THIS IS STILL AN ORGANIZATION STILL PRACTICING OUTSIDE..............UNDER A FUCKIN BRIDGE.Do you think Joe Burrow DOES NOT ask for a guaranteed contract next season?
