I don't usually get asked for a receipt. I don't have an issue providing, if asked.
I'm typically on some press gas, to get the fuck out of there type of time. By the time they are able to process, I'm already in the parking lot.
As far as the store posted above. I'd never set foot in that joint.

I just find it insulting. I dont have time for any of that. especially since I just self checked out 10 feet aweay from the door. These stores can do better.

I was being facetious about daring them.....but I dont waste time in the store AFTER I made my purchase....they can get the hell on..LOL

Even at Sam's Club they ask for receipts and you have to be a member to even shop there.

Last time I went in one the old brother at the front was checking my receipt extra hard. I got in my feelings and while he was doing it kinda let it slide like:
"Hey man...Im an engineer working for ______,do you really think I need to jack some water and chips from here man?"
and he looked at me and said:
"You make all that and still shop here young blood?"
Hurt my feelings real quick
I aint been in one since then. I'll go to Publix for a better experience.

they only ask to see my receipt if i have a noticeable purchase in my cart that can't fit in a grocery bag at checkout.......like a bike, charcoal, a fishing pole....or a 12-pack of soda.

Only time I have ever seen them ask for receipts is if you have things not in bags......cases of water/drinks..homegoods like vacums, pots and pans shit like that.

I understand why someone wouldn't like em but I let em check when their especially black really old,or disabled cause I know their at the bottom of the pecking order and they mean no harm their just doing what their told.

This is Safeway which is the west coast equivalent of Publix or Kroger etc. it’s just a grocery store , not like Walmart. The Bay has been plagued with shoplifting so this was bound to happen

I dont care about none of that. Any system where you have people standing less than 10 ft away from the self checkout and still feel the need to physically ask to see a receipt..is a giant waste of my time.
