I appreciate the take I first heard from Hancock about ancient man's fixation on the heavens was due to what had wiped us out before... Perhaps many times.... This is one of the biggest I know of but there are other spots like this around the world
The Derinkuyu underground city is a 2500-year-old ancient multi-level underground city in Turkey, extending to a depth of approximately 60m. It is large enough to have sheltered as many as 20,000 people together with their livestock and food stores
it's probably older than 2500
that age puts it at 500 bc
it wouldn't surprise me if it was constructed during the younger dryas
