Supposedly, to the schools. But we know that isn’t true. Even if it was true, it’s not a lot going to them. NC has 2,475 public schools. On a 100 million, that’s roughly 40k per school. But that only depends on the size of the school. For example, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Public School System will take more precedence over Hertford County where they are poorer and less dense. So the allocations of funds will be vastly different. Furthermore, even if Charlotte-Meck did receive those funds, we already know preferential treatment will be had for the school that don’t need it as bad as the underfunded schools that needs renovations.
