Liked the first season

His performance has been criminally ignored

Looking forward to it.

If you liked season 1 - you'll dig season 2.

3rd season should be consistently good again.

We're gonna check it out tomorrow, along with with the premieres for Your Honor and Mayor of Kingstown.

Yeah - definitely a good little show that flew under the radar. We're up to ep 4 on the rewatch thus far.

Appreciate how Stephen Amell and others involved in the project clearly pay tribute to professional wrestling. Well crafted show that has enough time for character development as well.

^^^^

I don't think THIS side of wrestling has been seriously shown in a drama before

We have heard or seen this aspect only in documentary or YouTube interviews

I would think the WWE would support this show more (unless I missed something)

Enjoyed seeing pro wrestlers CM Punk and Mick Foley have small roles in season 1.

And as for Amell ...

WWE (2015)
As an avid professional wrestling fan,[21] Amell campaigned for a guest appearance on WWE's weekly Raw program.[22]

In May 2015, it was reported that he was tentatively set to wrestle Stardust (Cody Rhodes) at WWE's SummerSlam pay-per-view in August.[21] Amell made his first WWE appearance on the May 25 episode of Raw, where he had a confrontation with Stardust.[23] Amell returned to Raw in early August; after being assaulted in the audience by Stardust, Amell got into the ring to attack him until being contained by security. Following a backstage segment with Triple H, it was announced that Neville would team with Amell to face Stardust and King Barrett at SummerSlam.[24]

At the event on August 23, 2015, Amell and Neville defeated Barrett and Stardust in a tag team match. Amell participated in the wrestling, and, behind the scenes, wrestlers were said to have been impressed with Amell's performance.[25][26] Amell became friends with Rhodes, with whom he later also worked on Arrow.[27]

On December 21, 2015, Amell was awarded a Slammy for the "Celebrity Moment of the Year" for his dive onto Stardust during the match.[28]

Ring of Honor (2017)
Amell returned to professional wrestling for Ring of Honor on November 17, 2017, at Survival of the Fittest.[29] On the day of the show, Amell joined the Bullet Club faction, and teamed with Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega, and The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) in a five-on-four tag team match. They defeated The Addiction (Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian), Flip Gordon, and Scorpio Sky, and Amell again participated in the wrestling, including being put through a table by The Addiction.[30]

All In (2018)
On August 6, 2018, it was announced that Amell would be competing at All In, in his first-ever singles match, where he was defeated by Christopher Daniels.[31]

All Elite Wrestling (2020)
On February 29, 2020, Amell made an appearance at All Elite Wrestling's Revolution, he accompanied Cody Rhodes alongside Rhodes' Nightmare Family for his match against MJF.[32]

Alice in Borderland im 2 episodes in to this very involving and fun series. From the crazy situations, fights, and death defying escapes the show puts me as much on edge as the characters playing the deadly games in a world thats kind of like Resident Evil and the video game horror movie Stay Alive

Mayor of Kingstown
Season 2 is off to a good start .The show is shaping up to be along the lines of one of my favorite corrupt cop shows The Shield

I’ve heard good things about Alice in Borderland of late!

Your Honor season 2 episode 1 When season 2 was announced i was shocked like a lot of other people because it seemed like the story was pretty much done but i must say i like the way they are stacking the decks nicely and im enjoying the different dynamics between the various characters

Godfather Of Harlem season 3 episode 1 seemed like such a long wait for this season but it was worth it. This series never lets up with it's intense and involving moments, blending factual history with some slight changes to how things really played out in Harlem in the 1960's.

Enjoyed the premieres for Godfather of Harlem and the aforementioned 2 shows above. Checked them out yesterday.

Need to circle back to Wednesday later this month. At the midway point of that series.
Is it that good? I watched a couple eps but couldn't get into it. The only show I watch on EPIX is From

Been hearing the early buzz for this upcoming series of late ...

Poker Face is an upcoming American television series created by Rian Johnson for the streaming service Peacock. It is a "case-of-the-week" mystery comedy-drama.[1] Natasha Lyonne executive produces and stars in the series.[2]

Peacock announced the series in March 2021, with Lyonne attached and Johnson as director.[2] Nora and Lilla Zuckerman were named as co-showrunners.[2]

Poker Face will consist of 10 episodes and is scheduled to debut on January 26, 2023.[1][3]

According to Rian Johnson, the series will be a character-driven, case-of-the-week mystery comedy-drama.[4] Each episode follows the howcatchem format popularized by Columbo.[5]

Anyone watched any of this series? Have a handful of episodes saved on the DVR ... might get around to them at some point.

The Resort is an American dark comedy mystery television series created for Peacock by Andy Siara. The series stars William Jackson Harper and Cristin Milioti as a married couple on vacation at a holiday resort for their 10th anniversary, where they are drawn into a mystery that took place fifteen years before. It premiered on Peacock on July 28, 2022.

Noah and Emma are vacationing in the Mayan Riviera for their 10th anniversary. Noah has been content with life, whereas Emma feels like their marriage isn't advancing. They are then pulled into an unsolved mystery of two missing persons from fifteen years ago, which tests the resolve of their marriage.[1][2]

1923. I'm glad I decided to go back to this series after putting it on the back burner. I said I was only going to watch episode 2 just to catch up a bit but ended up watching episodes 3 and 4 because it's that good

I'm not upset about the cancelation of The Mosquito Coast because the story was pretty much done and basically ended the same way the book did.

The Last of Us is shaping up to be one of the most intense, involving, moving and suspenseful shows I have ever watched. High praise to everyone involved in the practical effects.

This series debuted last year and I sat on it until I could confirm Netflix would renew it.

I found out about a week ago season 2 is scheduled to debut this January in Denmark. Should be on US Netflix later this year.

This is a Sci-Fi thriller with a premise that has been done before, but plays out differently in this version.

There is 6 episodes that run about 40 minutes. With just 6 episodes, it allows the story to move without a lot of filler and quickly knock out character introduction/development and story.

The series revolves around teenagers. European series/movies do a good job of keeping “Teenage Drama” to a low minimum and focusing on the story. They do it well in this series. If you are familiar with the Netflix series “The Rain”, this is similar.

One of the things that threw me off is that this series is filmed in Denmark. Denmark’s legal drinking age is 16. There is scenes with teenagers doing heavy drinking and a scene with a mother encouraging drinking. Highly recommend supervising your children if you allow them to watch it. It threw me off back in my ARMY days seeing teens drink heavily when I was in that country for training back in the day.

For the Thirsty, the lead actress is an adult playing a teenager. The trailer doesn’t do her justice. She is a cutie. Thru-out the series she wears Afro-Puffs. There are a couple of scenes where she lets her hair out and she could pass for a younger sister to “Melyssa Ford”. There are a few scenes showing her thickness from the waist down, but they don’t show much, just enough to get the point.

For the Militants, there is interracial between the main actress and White Boyz. Kissing is all that is shown.

For the Gay Agenda trackers, there is interracial lesbian action between the main actress and a White Chick. A non-graphic love scene is played out.

I’m hoping the second season kicks the Sci-Fi part into full gear after what was seen in the season finale. I expect it too.

The series is from Denmark, Netflix has it dubbed in English.

Synopsis

A 17-year-old girl finds her world turned upside down when she and her friends discover the disturbing truth lurking in their quiet Danish town.
