Science does not say what ever you want it to say. You first have a observation of an natural phenomenon (something not supernatural) then you formulate an hypotheses or what Richard Feynman calls an educated guess to whats/why going on, then you devise a way of testing this hypothiesis and if it fails you go back to square one, now if it passes, you have other scientist review your testing methodology (sometimes the error can be in the testing itself, for example trying to determine the shape of the earth with a water level) and once you pass peer review, it can become a theory (note a scientific theory is the highest level most experiments can get establishing a scientific law is very rare, so in actuality nothing in science is hard baked and is subject to changed once more information or conflicting data becomes available.
The problem I find most science deniers fall short is that they observe a phenomenon then guess then look for evidence to support their guess, never testing it, and never taking any steps to prevent cognitive bias, while declaring it a theory, and to add insult to injury they assume this is what actual scientist do.
As for the Dogon tribe, yes they predicted Sirius bianary stars, great, but they were incapable of confirming it the way actual scientist are able today, hardly making anyone look stupid. But this is the type of crap idiots on the web pump into folks head leading them to believing there is a great consparacy to hide ancient civilizations. But without being able to produce the methodology to how they were able to make this prediction (being able to replicate and predict are also key componant to science) for the moment their finding is listed as unknown, but to label it a feat of superior knowledge (without being to explain their method of operation) you assertion is as right as me assuming it was a luck guess.
