TV SHOWS / SERIES - Seen any good ones lately? Please feel free to post reviews / feedback / trailers / articles / TV news / all that shit ...

I was looking at what they got coming out in 2023 and beyond.

They got a number of interesting series coming out, including a “Conan” series…but unless they labeled as “Limited Series”, I ain’t wasting my time.
:angry::angry: Jesus fucking christ. Netlix got its hands on Conan? Only hope is if it's an outside production that the weirdos can't touch. Otherwise, another IP is getting fucked by the 'stick it to incel' weirdos. :smh: Damn. Probably make Conan and supporting character in his own series.

Looking forward to this...this show has been well written and not rushed at all! All episodes are giving their all...i finshed all the seasons waiting to see how they build from where they are now...

Treason
2022
7.5/10

This is a new suspense thriller that came out on Netflix.

This is a limited series. Netflix seems to be labeling a lot of new series “Limited” cuz they must have figured out that all these cancellations are pissing people off. As of now there are no plans from Netflix to continue it. It has become a sleeper hit here in the US and England.

The series has a similar premise to the classic “Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy”. If you are familiar with that movie and enjoyed it, you will enjoy this series.

It is a slow burn series, not really anything to call action. The story is simple and easy to follow. Not much of anything for character development to slow it down.

Charlie Cox (MCU Daredevil) stars. It is interesting hearing him speak with his native British accent.

For the Gay Agenda trackers, there is a middle age WW/WW lesbian couple, nothing is shown.

There are only 5 episodes that run about 40 minutes each. If you watch them back-to-back, it’s like watching a 3.5hour movie.

Synopsis

An MI6 deputy's bright future takes a sharp turn after a reunion with a Russian spy forces him to question his entire life and which side he truly wants to side with in a looming conflict
Tinker, Tailor, Soldier Spy took me 3 days to finish that movie. Never knew it was a tv series in the 70s.

I like espionage though may try it. Thanks

Conan The Barbarian TV Series In Works At Netflix

January Releases for me

1) Copenhagen Cowboy s1 on Netflix
2) BMF S2 on Starz
3) Vikings Valhalla s2 on Netflix
4) Godfather of Harlem s3 on Epix
5) The Last of Us s1 on HBO

easily one of the 10 best shows I watched in '22

Really liked the story, and how they could make even the simplest of shots look artistic. I.E. two people sitting at a distance talking on horseback (from a long shot camera perspective). Everything looked sharp and framed well.

Looking forward to it. Trying to figure out the watching schedule ahead for the following, haha.

- The end of The Deuce season 3
- SAS: Rogue Heroes
- The continuation of 1923
- The end of Tulsa King
- Season 2 of Your Honor
- Season 2 of Mayor of Kingstown
- Season 3 of Godfather of Harlem

its getting hype that it could be another huge mainstream hit show for HBO to go along with the 2 they currently have in HOTD and Euphoria

My mom sent me a list of shows she plans on watching in the months ahead. The Last of Us is one of them, and she's 72 and has never played a video game.

We'll see, i remember some were saying Westworld and His Dark Materials would be mainstream hits that didn't happen for them

Agreed. It's interesting to see which series catch / hit and how things are received. There's just so much to choose from these days.

Yeah the list of top tier mainstream shows is very short currently imo. Besides the 2 for HBO, Netflix has Squid Game and Stranger Things (which i haven't even watched), Amazon has LOTR, and that may be it. I mean I watch so many shows but those seem to be the short list of shows that are big on that level

Agreed. A select few series become watercooler talk and stay in the mainstream discussion for months on end. Shows that are so popular that even people who've never watched them are well aware of their impact.

Funny side note ... thinking back to growing up & grade school in the late-80s / early-90s ... the watercooler / playground talk shows we had as kids were ...

In Living Color / ALF / The Simpsons / The Wonder Years / Saved by the Bell / DuckTales / Step by Step / Growing Pains / Family Matters, etc.

man as a kid Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was like GoT status

I don't find this show that funny, are all the awards some type of white guilt?

and yeah I'm trying to think back what season the Simpsons fell off since it was so long ago, I wanna say maybe s9?

Man - it's amazing the longevity the series has had. I still remember when it was released ... kids were dressing up in the costumes at Halloween. I'm in my early-40s now - it's still on the air. I don't remember when it dropped off ... I think I stopped watching in the late-90s.
