Yea he’s wildin

and here comes math

Yeah I posted this the minute it dropped

@dik cashmere @ViCiouS

I predicted this sh*t exactly

I stand by my original comments

It's complicated trust me I understand

I hold REAL JOURNALISM in high regard. And hip hop journalists too cause I always dreamed of being on the mind squad

Math I don't believe deliberately tried to snake anyone.

Let's say EVERYTHING he said is true.

You interview styles FIRST - then interview J hood

Math knows damn well the ONLY thing Hood got to talk about is 20 year old LOX beef that's it. Honestly it ain't even worth the interview

However everyone story is important and he is with Shy so cool.

If Math did not think there was anything wrong with what he did?

Why even attempt to reach out?

Right?

Because you know the interview and the timing would look wrong.

As much as he is not OBLIGATED to do that?

He is obligated

If he a REAL journalist.

You fact check. Get a rebuttal. If these conversations are to hold any significance or value there has to be SOME sense of validity whenever possible.

I hate to hear other Podcasters say well so and so was lying but not name names or state the so called facts.

That's bullsh*t

Math could have actually made a video saying I tried to reach out to the Lox got no response I cannot confirm what Hood said.

Period. Everything is fine.

REAL JOURNALISTIC SH*T

@guyver

similar view as yours and you both made good points.

but he also conflated some things

Overall it's the same thought process minus the obvious personal experience he has in the industry and with New York artists.

What stood out was that the same information was disclosed 15 years ago and allegedly no one from the Lox said a word to the public. This goes back to if information is false its up to the accused to correct the story and if possible provide evidence to support your version. They can’t use the excuse that it is messy to discuss Jhood in public because they literally utilized their fans to force Puff to release them.

Another thing I didn't like was Styles trying to belittle Jhood by saying he basically failed and needs to move on. To me, that comes off like you are trying to leverage your popularity or success as the bigger artist to win public opinion and discredit Jhood. Styles damn near should have just said don't believe this broke guy he's just bitter about his life. Styles mentioned not allowing people to hurt Jhood, so we could assume the Lox indirectly could have blackballed Jhood too. I agree with Styles that Jhood was really trying to sign to gunit and Jhood said it was discussed. If you're honorable , why not release Jhood regardless of your issue with gunit.

If you bearly had a career to begin with and you are being blackballed, how was Jhood supposed to bounce back? Instead of trying to shame Jhood or make people question his character, Styles or someone else should have come with evidence. It could have been as simple as Jhood claims this person gave us a check. Here is the person and he is saying this never happened. I doubt they have proper accounting from back then, but if they had any documents provide them. Jhood claimed the 60k was listed on some document he received. Ask him to show it. My point is attack the allegations with documented facts. Don't attempt to diminish the man's character or hold yourself in high regard in comparison to others.worse case just outright say we used the funds for your album and apologize for not communicating that fact.

Sounds like they’re trying to give him that push

flip fucked up a lot of bags with his antics

they looked at the shit he did for likes as being a liability

he’s only protected by who he’s related to
Hold on cause I really don't follow him like that BUT is he the nephew or cousin of the dj half of a LEGENDARY rap duo?
He’s from the north side of merrick in queens

his cousin is a rapper named jayo who gets respect on that side

I think they have another famous relative but don’t quote me on that

His cousin is Webb. He's gangsta famous.

From Webb and Nitti, that's who Joe was with when he first dropped.

but mainly Webb and Nitty from the Supreme Team. Webb recently came home.

Flip also used to run with Stack Bundles, Bynoe and RIOT Squad

Red shirt and white hat, minus a beard and probably 100 pounds

I think he used to run with Mazardi Fox also.

Well ok then

Appreciate you

These niggas ain't journalists yet. I don't even know if they're tryna be journalists.

As of right now, they rappers (or former rappers) / podcasters with a bunch of stories, interesting insights in regards to the industry, and connections. I mean that with no disrespect. But they get to pick and choose when they wanna be journalists.

If they are aspiring to be journalists, then I expect some fumbles along the way. But they don't have to adhere to the strict standards journalism requires in order to profit so why would they?

@dik cashmere

All this? Ain't good at all for Math

Cause this proves Hood had nothing else going on and his entire objective was to attack the Lox.

He trying to ride this out for as long as he can

His objective is to get his name back out there to push his new single with shyheim. To be honest his break from the Lox wasn't an earth shattering moment in hiphop to begin with. It damn sure isn't a big deal now. After he drug the chain down the sidewalk his 15 minutes was up. I wish him well and hope that he can move pass this.

Sadly?

I don't think it worked the way he thought

Cause the public isn't clamoring to hear the record, just the beef.

Imagine if Stykes never responded?

I wonder if we would still be discussing him?

I wonder if we would still be discussing him?

We really wouldn't. Nobody knows J-Hood outside of niggas our age that remember him dragging that chain on the ground. Up until today you probably couldn't even google his name.

I miss combat jack so much.

I wish he was still alive to see the lane he created for everybody.

I am NEVER here for the petty

But Westside is right.

any white media platform wouldn't be dumb enough to turn away an entire fan base (and revenue) for some clicks and views

The movements b dot chose to offend NOT because of journalistic integrity

But because of petty beef in- fighting and favoritism

Is exactly why Styles can go at Math.

If you wanna play? Follow the rules.

You a rapper? Host? Drug dealer? Thug? Journalist?

Cause there are different rules for all that.

Griselda (or any rap crew) could support any random podcast and just the co sign no money or nothing would be enough.

And the other way these dudes could chose to NOT support any one of these existing platforms and guess what would happen?

Exactly.

But I really want to see them all mature and thrive.

These rappers of this level don't even really NEED these so called outlets.

They can do it themselves

I ain't here for these dudes want to be media without doing any of the work.

I miss combat jack so much.
Combat was the epitome of real

so much knowledge and wisdom bestowed upon anyone who met him

bdot is really a sucker for sitting with them for two hours smiling in their face knowing he was about to put out that bullshit

^^^

that's my issue right there

its ALREADY difficult and more complicated being a Black journalist and part of the media

and then you add hip hop

Its DIFFERENT it just IS

ask ANY member of the Source.

Its an even BIGGER responsibility

and B Dot KNOWS that.
