Wouldn't surprise me but if I remember those rumors were also because Trace Armstrong, former Bear and currently a powerful agent, was rumored to be in line for President of the Bears last year. Armstrong represents Harbaugh, Ryan Day and Lincoln Riley and at different points last season all three had rumors linking them to the Bears.
