DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — One person is dead and another currently behind bars after a shooting at a tire shop Saturday afternoon.

DeKalb County Police responded to a person shot call at the Tires Plus at 577 DeKalb Industrial Way just before 1:30 p.m.

Once officers arrived, they found Daniel Gordon, 24, suffering from gunshot wounds. Gordon was an employee of Tires Plus.

According to DeKalb detectives, the suspect, identified as Quadarius McDowell, 30, had taken his car to the tire shop for service.

McDowell reportedly thought Gordon was trying to steal his car and fired multiple shots, shooting the victim.

He then ran away on foot, but officers were able to find and arrest him.

Damn didn’t this shit happen with the girl who shot the thief and innocent bystander. So he stops the thief(employee) then takes off running. After giving the tire company all his check in information.

I think they said it was after he realized the dude actually worked there. He went into panic mode and took off. I’m surprised the other cats in there aint bust that niggas ass. Thats a deserved vigilante ass kicking if EVER somebody needed it.

Oh ok, I was trying to see if there was more to the story like dude and the tire shop employee got into an argument and then the shooting happened, that would have made sense if he ran immediately after the shooting

instead of doing time, you would have an easily winnable lawsuit on your hand... end the end, taking a life over a car ain't worth it. just sue the shop, get yo money and keep it moving. mofos are quick to bust shots on some dumb shit that don't involve the protection fo life only to realize later, the shit wasn't worth it. he gonna find out now how much it was worth it.

you'll be surprised how much people overestimate their run down shit. A couple months ago, I go to this chinese restaurant by my house, so it's a couple of us in there, this older cat (u know one of them older cats that's like 60 but thinks he's 30) comes and parks his old CLK mercedes coupe in front of the restaurant instead of one of the parking lots, cos he wants everyone to see him, right? his windows are down, he's playing some R kelly, sound quality was nice tho, i ain't gonna lie, so he comes in and orders just like everybody else. As we are waiting, i figure i will go next door and grab some lottery scratchies. as i'm coming back, i decide to wait outside the restaurant and so i'm standing next to his car and i'm bopping my head to the music. Tell me why this fool comes out and i can't remember what the exchange was between him and I but i think i asked him something to which his old ass gon talk about he came out because he thought i was going to steal his car. in my mind, i was floored. i was cracking up. so i just smiled and then i got my food, get back into my car and as i am leaving i see him about to get into his car so i purposefully go past him with the range and I look at him, he looks at me and I look at his car and I just laugh and drive off. I know that old head got the point. i still chuckle to this day whenever i remember that.

PS: oh did i mention he was sitting on rims?? i guess maybe he thought i was coming to steal those
 
there are always people here in Dallas that go to these stores in the hood, jump out and leave their car running while they go inside.
sometimes they have their kids in the car. they be actin like niggaz wont jump in the car wit kids in it and burn off.

He was probably on drugs. The shop guys wear uniforms. If he's sitting in the waiting room, the mechanic had to cross his field of vision before going to the car. Did he think a thief was camping out all day at the shop, waiting there just to steal his car?
