And they might want both just in case one gets injured
Honestly we still don't know about Brock Purdy yet
He has not played much, so teams don't know his "tendencies" yet
Lets see what happens after 3 games or so
Purdy makes throw Lance can't do yet, Purdy is really looking NFL ready...
Trey Lance is okay but still raw, but Jimmy is there too and he's good for marketing, he's the pretty boy the media loves and can do other things with, I see Lance as the odd guy out if Purdy continues to shine.

Purdy is San Francisco’s QB. Bad break for Lance, but if Brock carries this team into a deep playoff run, or Super Bowl appearance, I can’t see them putting Trey back in there when he’s healthy next year.
