Let The Right One In
Another great show Showtime has produced
The season finale will air this week even though i felt like the last episode would have been a great finale. The great ting the writers did with this show are the bonds that have grown and solidified with these characters so coupled with the gore and action you actually have a solid foundation to work with
Yeah good show Annika Noni Rose and Franklin's pops is in it

Let The Right One In

What a finale !! Great Cliffhanger.....I truly hope this series gets a second season.

CAT on Netflix

I'm always interested in what happens in different cultures when it comes to corruption in politics ,crime, and drug cartels. A strong story coupled with salty dialouge and sayings. I'm 3 episodes in and I'm really enjoying this series.

WEDNESDAY

I kept brushing off this series but I'm glad I gave it a chance. One of the best things about it is the extra freedom it has to be a bit bolder than the TV series and movies. Though they do carry over some story threads from the aforementioned.
3 episodes in and I'm hooked.

1899

I'm 5 and half episodes in and I think I have some of what's actually happening to the characters in this series figured out ....maybe...LOL. That's what is so interesting about this show...it always leaves me with what in the world is happening??

Waited to watch The English and have seen 3 (of the 6) episodes this past week. Good stuff. Fans of Reservation Dogs will recognize one of the cast members in the earlier episodes. Love the wide angle shots. Very simple and effective. Good tension in a number of scenes / showdowns. Good to see the hardening of Emily Blunt's character over time. Looking forward to checking out the rest of the show.

Finished season 2 of The Deuce the other day. It has been solid throughout. Have enjoyed the wide variety of characters. Hookers, pimps, hustlers, mafia, police, bar owners, etc. Like I was saying earlier this fall ... fans of The Wire will enjoy the cast selections as you'll recognize a number of people seeing as Pelecanos & Simon are the showrunners here too. Gonna start the 3rd and final season later this week (it aired a few years back).

Have caught up on Tulsa King and Yellowstone.

Going to check out the season 2 finale of The White Lotus either tonight or tomorrow (it aired yesterday).

Still need to circle back to season 1 for both Justified and Boardwalk Empire respectively.

Have you seen the movie that the show is based on? If you have seen "Let The Right One In" or "Let Me In", can you draw comparisons? I was thinking of checking the series out but I thought that LTROI was brilliant and LMI was an American knock-off that fell short and was just used as a vehicle to to bolster Chloë Grace Moretz's career.
I really don't want to be bothered if its like Let Me In.

Devil In Ohio
2022

7/10

This is a limited season that came up on Netflix around Halloween this year. I started watching it this past weekend and finished last night. It is basically a suspense thriller.

I only watched it cuz it’s a one time series. Netflix is notorious with cancellations, so I am real hesitant in getting into anything new that comes up. The series does have a official end to it.

The series is based off a best selling book. What makes this series stand out is normally when Hollywood does book adaptations, they make a 90 minute film and try to cram a whole story in that time, causing the film to be a pointless mess.

With this being a series, it allows proper character/story development. Hollywood should take note with this.

The series proceeds at a good pace and nothing comes thru as filler to kill time. Everything you will see adds to the story.

There is no graphic violence or scary stuff. So don’t get yourself excited for that.

Suspense is done well.

The main story is with the Doctor and girl. There are two sub-plots dealing with the husband and teenage daughter. The daughter is all about teenage drama, it will bore you, but her storyline along with the husband ties into everything, so pay attention.

For the Thirsty, lead actress Emilly Deschanel, if you were worked up over her in the series “Bones”, don’t get yourself excited here. They made her look like a burnt out MILF.

For the Gay Agenda trackers, There is some teenage lesbian action with a WW/BW, all that is shown is light kissing. There also is an openly, flamboyant gay teenage Asian male. Nothing is shown.

For the InCells, there is a teenage BM who is an open “Feminist”. He wears articles of clothing that will offend and disturb you. He comes off as fruity, but he is a straight male.

There are just 8 episodes that run around 40 minutes each.

Synopsis

A psychiatrist takes in a young patient who escaped from a cult, putting her family and life in danger.

watching the season finale of white lotus season 2.
ol girl Valentina has a nice, tight ass...wasnt really expecting that.

That ass should have been the big finale reveal

Because after seeing it in all its glory?

I understand why there was a dead body in the beginning

Cause any man or woman would have killed for it.

I just started watching this, I'm caught up now. Minus the latest season 3 episode. I've been seeing people recommend this show. But kept skipping it. I'm on vacation now. So I got time to sit down and enjoy the show. And this show is hilarious. All of the characters gives a good performance.

I like the flow of the show. A little serious mixed in with mostly comedic elements.

Well i dont think it will ever top the films but it's the way they built these characters and flesh them out in which only a series can. I thought it wouldnt add up to much but i really enjoyed it and the twist and turns and suspense. It's very haunting.
