He's basically admiting to being old and jaded and, therefore, not being the demo the movies are made for. He could've just left it at that.

And I said the same damn thing like 3 pages ago.
QT was just talking to talk

Damn it
As soon as I said was done?
Someone sent this to me
Personally Taika Waititi is the best thing to happen to the Thor films. The shit was boring before he got there.
He definitely needs to be tempered. Waititi is like Hideo Kojima in the sense that they're both very creative but if you let them go all out shit will lose direction.I actually appreciated the Shakespearian take that Branagh went for
Taika is a genius but like Gunn with suicide squad...
You cannot let him just go ALL OUT
You gotta rein him in at some points.
But at the same time that unbridled creativity has birthed some of the greatest moments
The last Thor had great moments but really needed someone to come in and take a deep breath and figure what EXACTLY are we trying to say here?

I think there is a space for Branagh's take on things but I don't believe Thor is necessarily the right character for it nor is Chris Hemsworth the right actor.
Thor was an arrogant drunk in Norse mythology and I don't see the Hemsworth portrayal of Thor as kind of a dumb jock being too far off the mark. While the comic Thor may be a bit closer to Branagh's take I don't think anyone wants to see that version accurately portrayed.
I value your opinion on these matters so I will agree with you. In fact, there are plenty of dumb characters in Shakespeare, particularly the comedies (e.g. A Midsummer Night's Dream). Thor could definitely be used that way. That said, I don't believe it's a disservice to the character that he isn't.Well f*cking stated
But I disagree I think you CAN do the Shakespeare jock Thor
And hemsworth can do it.
Why not?
In fact Aaron in the comics pulled that off with some btlrollant story arcs
I think extremes in either direction is what is frustrating fans.

Another gripe I have with certain elements of the fan base is they talk all of this stuff about wanting things to get more serious and then when Marvel gives them something more serious and ponderous in nature, like The Eternals, the fans then shit on it.
The superhero fan base, which includes intellectual fans like us, have honestly suffered from an embarrassment of riches. We have so much some of us have become picky and impossible to please.
I should but the only listeners would probably be just you and Scully Dog.Ummmm....
Yo dropping f*cking well thought knowledge bombs these evening
You starting a podcast or something?
That's an old one so I can see re-buying that. Outside of Uma Thurman tho there's no one or nothing in that film I want to see in 4k, particularly not the rape scene.Got pulp fiction 4k coming from Amazon next week

Now I'm thinking "damn we could really do this." Tito would probably call-in to troll though. He'd change the subject from Marvel to DC.
