Black people only no other race?
No, but the hyper-consumerism campaigns that they are employing via TV, music, and other forms of mass media affect the black communities worse due to our lack of culture (that was stolen from us) and the fact that most of us are raised by single women, and according to every bit of data, women tend to be overspenders, leading to single-parent households being more vulnerable towards this type of aggressive campaigns.
So in other words, if you follow the money trail you'd see that there is a money incentive for them to remove men from the family structure, and is why the media is so adamant against any policy that protects the traditional nuclear family.

If you have a have a short attention span, skip to 11:45 seconds and listen to that clip about the buying habits of the black man, then rally back and start it from jump.

To get big advertising dollars one has to convince the companies you want to advertise with you that you have access to their market.

J and J could show had lots of potential customers, but I am sure they had to convince companies that those potential customers would actually buy in order to lock down advertising dollars.......so they said you can't sell to them the same way you sell to white folk....let us show you how to treat them and we promise your advertising dollars won't be wasted.

But let's be real about them taking dollars from our community.....if ya'll are old enough to remember the ads they were mostly cigarettes, malt liquor and hair products.... Weren't many community cigarette and liquor companies in our community at that time.

In New Orleans they had the largest amount of black home owners in the world. A lot of the homes might have been shacks passed down from generation to generation but they were black owned. Officially they said that katrina changed that. The evidence says something else. I myself have did a lot of hustling but when you save up money it is usually taken before you can do what you saved it up for.
In the business market it is hard to supply quality stuff at a decent price. Economic war fare.

Umm Blacks are the largest consumer base in the Country. So yeah

That may explain why most of our money go to businesses that we cannot compete with if we are working on building a nation or like it is with me rebuilding the garden of eden.

It’s more white people in this country than black.. white people make more money than black people..so the biggest customer base is actually white people.. most companies aim their advertising towards white people.. perfect example some clothing brands have been out for decades b4 black people were wearing them yet those companies would be multi million or billion dollar brands b4 black people made it part of their style.. also many brands that were a fad to black people still will be generating money after black people stop considering it cool -see Tommy Hilfiger for an example of this-… if there are more white people than they need more housing, need more vechiles, need more food, need more beds, etc just due to population size.. so if they own more houses, own more cars, buy more food, buy more daily supplies how are black people the biggest consumer? All you have to do is think logically and see that myth of us being the biggest consumer is a crock of shit.. hell the vid proves it cause those bizz existed without the black dollar they were just trying to get another customer base

Put a crazy number on the tag and watch most reation but deep down inside they disire it and want it cause it's in a white store and we all know white stores have better products that last longer.Duh.

Ok better wording. Blacks are disproportionately major consumers. Black society consumes more than produce than other groups. I'm talking trillions which is a lot more than some countries GDP

In majority Black areas who owns the gas stations, subways and beauty stores.. The truth hurts
Same can't be said during the early 1900's to 1960 where Blacks were segregated and independent which lead to land ownership, entrepreneurs ...Dr , Dental and law practices, movie theaters, grocery stores, general stores etc

Exactly.
We overemphasize consumerism as a black problem when it is an American problem. It ain't got shit to do with black culture it is American culture. We are consumers like everyone else. Ebony had to make a whole movie to convince companies to spend advertising dollars with Ebony to sell to black people. White people thought and still think black people are poor. The luxury brands don't market to us.

We aspire to be rich just like all poor people in America. The American dream sells more products than anything else. It ain't hip hop it ain't single family households everybody got the American disease. Everybody wants to move on up like the jeffersons. This play been working for the companies in America since the industrial revolution.

Bingo

Since then we have been molded to be the perfect consumer, to the point of us willing to die over the brand-named goods.

You missed the whole point of the video. I can understand people that can't read but you can't even watch. I'm just saying Bro.

I never once said this is what the video was about, read carefully, I said since then we have been molded to be the perfect consumer to the point of being willing to die over the brand-named goods. Obviously, refering to after the 50's when the film was created.

So.. Ebony Magazine was data harvesting the black population through their magazine with a view to extract more income from them and simultaneously selling a how-to video to crackas.

Word. This helped fund Ebony by encouraging businesses to purchase advertising in Ebony magazine.

Since when Bro, 1954? What brand name goods were black people buying in 1954?

When you have less money and more debt it becomes more of a problem because per capita, black folks spend more money and save less than anybody. To exacerbate the situation, even more, we are shamed in our community if we do not overspend. Just look at the recording industry for example, where you see people like Justin Beaver and Harry Styles dressing regularly without any gold or big wads of money, yet if you are a rapper like Cole or Joyner who tend to be more modest with flashing their money, they are called lame.
It's like an unwritten rule that in order to offset being black females have to look extra sexy and black men have to flash extra money, but this is the system that the white man created and our asses brought into with aggressive marketing aimed at black folks.
Now white people have their own marketing aimed at them, but theirs usually involves houses, cars, and investments.

The problem is from all perspectives we are still a very small fish in the American ecosystem.

The biggest liquor brands in America sell to white people. White people buy all the cigarettes. Do you think Kay jeweler lives off of black people. Have you seen how expensive Patagonia shit is? You got to get out of your bubble. White people sell shit to white people. Black people want the shit because we want to live the AMERICAN dream. White people market to white people because white people have the money to buy from white people. They created this society that values things. We bought into that culture. It's not our culture. It's not a black thing we are spectators to this game we are not the targets. We have to beg them to market to us and appreciate us as consumers. The only reason they market to us now is because black advertisers like Ebony made them see the money on the table they were leaving. But Ebony was just trying to get some of the advertising dollars that these major companies were spending that weren't going to black magazines.

Guess who has the most debt in America? Rich White People. Why because they have the most money and can afford the most debt.

When we focus on debt and spending as a black problem it is shortsided. I agree we need better financial literacy in the black community but spending is just one side of the equation. The other side is income. Even if you astronomically reduced spending and increased saving our income is still a third of white families. So if you are running a business and you want to increase the value of a company you can only go so far by reducing expenses. So ebony is now catching flack for trying to increase their income which is a smart move by a company. They couldn't survive just by selling their ads to black companies. White companies have all the money.

I don't have a problem with black people spending money. You have to spend money to survive. I would love for their to be more black companies so black dollars could recycle in black communities and black incomes could increase. This is the cycle that would help us be able to spend money and stay wealthy.

Thank you. Egggxactly what I'm trying to explain to them. Black money rotates once then leaves the community. Blacks are major consumers and the shit that's consumed doesn't hold long term value to build generational wealth

Houses, cars, clothes, traveling, food delivery/ restaurant industry, fast food, transportation , hotels, traveling, etc were aimed at the white community.. the microwave was supposed to be this technological advance for white mothers to heat food faster for their families.. the diamond industry was created for white people and pushing that material really shows the woman you love .. you live in ny.. Manhattan is a clear representation that it was push for white people and white tourist.. the diamond district, 5th ave, all the fine dining restaurants, 5 star hotels, Broadway shows, high price condos , lounges/clubs, bars, etc was all built for cacs.. literally Manhattan can literally be the ultimate representation of America and it’s bizz empire to promote and take advantage of the white consumer.. most cacs don’t even acknowledge Manhattan above 96 st aka when the skin tone of residence gets darker
