Well since they redoing it, Blade could be great. Rumor was that Blade was being put in the background for a female character. Since it is basically being built from the ground up now, we don't know. Leaks won't start for quite some time.

But if it's anything like the rumored scrapped one or 'new' Marvel, Blade will be weak and need to be saved by a woman. I'll be done if they nerf Blade.

But if it's good I'll admit it's good. I liked Black Adam. Needed a much better villian, but I was entertained. Not Marvel though.

Conan is a favorite movie of mine. He was saved by a woman 3 times in that. But in no way did she surpass him as a warrior. They didn't have to make Conan a fool to make her a bad ass. That was 40 years ago. 40 years ago Prince Leia was putting in work. That didn't mean Lando ran around screaming like a bitch, right? 80s kids might remember Firestar for our Sat cartoons.

The problem Disney/Marvel is having is folks don't get used to decades of strong women coexisting with strong men only to have Disney/Marvel now push an agenda that wasn't even needed. Can't just be 'incels' responsible for falling ratings matching bad reviews and inflated ticket prices making box office look good(yeah, run those adjusted numbers for a real eye opener).

Keep in mind there is a reason why studios now yell at fans. Internet been popping for 2 decades and they never had to. What's changed? What has changed is people like Feige now admit to an agenda.

She was shown fighting vampires. She killed a female vampire who attacked her when Blade was busy fighting Deacon Frost.

That said, she was portrayed as a doctor not a warrior. It wouldn't be realistic showing her beating up multiple vampires when she was shown working in the ER less than a week before.

The women in BP2 have been depicted in previous films being able to hold their own. It's not the same thing.
