I think more people are upset about the fake outrage by adidas.. they took his shoe off the market cause of his words and act like anything that represented him would be vanished..only to rerelease the kicks quickfast that everybody knows cause of him.. if you were really outrage they wouldn’t have push the same sneakers that people associate with kanye or at least wait a few yrs

Of course, the canceling of him is what's messed up.

But to think these companies don't have their i's dotted and T's crossed is telling how many don't know how biz is conducted with these majors. They are not dumb

The dumbest company move ever for example was Beats with deal they had with Dre. They completely messed up and handed him the entire bag.

Lessons learned from that, many corporate attorneys don't play.

Try the UltraBoost. It's literally what I mostly buy. They're typically $180 and up. I've got them from the Adidas outlets or on Slickdeals for anywhere from $50-80. They're the most comfortable kicks I've ever had, besides all my Hoka's.

But I think this is a move to clear inventory, cheapen his brand (which it seems like they own the design rights to), and recoup some of the lost revenue from the split.

It’s the principle not the person. I think Kyrie is a fool but if the league or a company does him dirty, you continue to enrich them because you don’t like the victim???? Simply redirect your money and influence. That’s something the layperson can do en mass.
 
If you're going to cancel a business deal, cancel it without stealing intellectual property (IF that is his design). This move potentially puts heat on Adidas publicly and legally.

Athletes are signed to a brand, then they are given a few models to choose from. They may have a little to offer to the design, but its pretty much done ground up for them. So when they athlete drops from the brand, the design still belongs to the company. For instance, when Deion decided not to be with Nike anymore, they kept releasing Deion's, they just renamed the shoe and changed the logo. They did the same with Chris Webber. Same shoes, different name and logo. Kanye brought HIS designs to Adidas, he only needed distribution. Seems to me, he had to sell some of his designs to Adidas to make the deal happen, which is why they can release some of them without his name. Yeezy is his brand. He can take that name with him. Most athletes on a shoe deal don't have a brand. Only Jordan, Bron, and Steph have their own brand within a brand. Maybe its more than I can think of right now.
