Jay-Z Says There’s No Shame in Success, Compares Being Called ‘Capitalist’ to the N-Word

please elaborate
Which part?.. if you talking about the albulm ..best of both worlds was released and than the allegations popped up and jay z moonwalked from talking about and pushing that albulm.. than when things cleared he decided to re-release the albulm even though it was a vid of kell fucking a 14 yr old girl , he was cleared of them charges but the evidence was still there and obvious.. they were doing a tour and would’ve still been touring if jay boy tata didn’t mace kell

if you talking about sold out bk.. there was an area with buildings with tenants that cacs were trying to convince to move so that they can start their gentrification process, which included the Barclays center..for over a decade residents refused to move cause they knew there was a plot to gentrify Brooklyn… along came jay z yrs later and he lied about his ownership percentage of the team as well as building a better Brooklyn for the community.. residents believed him vacated their locations so the building process can begin.. than what do you know cacs landed in bk.. jay sold his small percentage and pretty much has nothing to do with the Barclays now.. so residents believed a man who literally was there just to convinced them to move for a paycheck.. sold Brooklyn out

Didn't have to read that shit. I aspire to be called a capitalist. That is all.

Capitalist:

"a wealthy person who uses money to invest in trade and industry for profit in accordance with the principles of capitalism."

You will never be a capitalist

Bullshiit. That’s a vague useless definition you are relying on without defining what is meant by “the means of production.”

Production of what?

Right before I graduated from college I met a black man who owned a plant in El Paso, TX that produced and sold water bottles. Is he a capitalist? Does he own the means of production by owning the plant that produces the water bottles?

This Black man manufactures pianos. Is he a capitalist? He produces pianos so that would make him one according to your guys definition.

But the fact is, your guy’s definition is not the true definition of capitalist and is merely the result of a black man who had a limited vision of what Black people can be.

Yes, Black people can own the means of production. But according to the real definition, there are many Black people in this country who are capitalist by investing their capital in businesses to make a profit. That my friend is capitalism.

Free your mind- and your ass will follow. -George Clinton.

Means of production

Means of production is a Marxist term in origin. The means of production can be used to categorise the social classes into the bourgeoisie and the proletariat. The bourgeoisie own the means of production and the proletariat work the means of production. Unlike the mental means of production, this term places its focus upon economic resources, and is sometimes known as the means of physical production.

Black people do not own any means of production in America.

And you have yet to define “means of production.” I’m a dummy so please make it plain to me.
Multiple have defined it in here. Factories as in plural like NIKE is having the means of production. They exploit the labor of the working class through their control of those factories. Your friend is no capitalist..he's just a capitalist lackey

Some of the richest people on the planet are real estate developers. But by your definition they aren’t capitalist because they don’t own plants.

Some of the richest people in the world are investment bankers. But by your definition they are not capitalist because they don’t own plants.

Some of the richest people on the planet are venture capitalist. Capitalist is even in their name. But by your definition they’re not capitalist because they don’t own plants.

Your definition is severely lacking. Being a capitalist has nothing to do with owning anything. In fact it’s the exact opposite. You don’t own anything. You invest in people and businesses that THEY own. You don’t run anything, you don’t provide anything to the market, you don’t produce and you don’t build. People who understand the true argument against capitalist understand that is the argument. They don’t build, they don’t produce, they don’t invent, they don’t create….they simply use their money to make profit without adding anything to the world.

And that is why some people have an issue
