I admit to making excuses to use it back in the 90s when I was young. Saying that there was a difference between it ending with er and it ending with a, and though there is a difference in how it is used, we're the only culture that uses such a hateful word in conversations with each other

In Chris Rock's case now that he's rich his focus is more on not offending white people than defending black people via his comedic routines.
