Music Legal: George Floyd family, says the family is considering a lawsuit over Kanye West comments on Drink Champs

Whoa, mmmmm Will be watching this. I don't particular like "Kanye West" especially after what he said about Slavery. Very ignorant.

We all gotta let it go.

All of it.

I dont want Kanye to be canceled or black balled.

I want him to be ignored.

Dude is just a rapper. He's not the first crazy rapper. He wont be the last.

Its time to stop caring.

I actually wholeheartedly agree with this specific part.

The problem is in 2022?

It seems damn near impossible for most folks to do

Even if it would protect their sanity and health

This is a bad look for NORE because of how he irresponsibly handled this whole situation. He wanted the buzz but Kanye was too smart for him. NORE wasn’t ready to deal with the backlash that was coming in for airing that interview. NORE going on these damage control media runs is truly pathetic.

The show was not removed because of the remarks about George Floyd. The show was removed because of comments about the Jews controlling media. You can make jokes all day and say nigga, nigga, niggahhh. The minute you say something about the Jews you’re an anti-Semite. NORE sounded like someone who got G-Checked by the bosses and we all know the bosses ain’t black.

Ye is more gullible and easily influenced than mentally ill.

He just believes whoever is closest to him at the time believes..

This clown Kanye keeps pissing me off and then do some shit I love like his stance on the Jews.
His stance on the Jews right now is bigger than his ignorance towards Black people.
Shit, we’ve been getting shitted on by everyone for hundreds of years. CACs, Asians, Jews, Hispanics, Jews, Africans, and Caribbeans all have this internal hate for us. We’re used to it.
However, we’re not used to someone going at Jews’ necks this hard and I’m all for it! Not advocating violence towards innocent jew civilians, but dismantling this strong hold the jews have on finances, media, hollyweird, and the music business is important.

Straight up, I just saw the Candace Owens "The Greatest Lie Ever Sold" documentary. I'm definitely giving the George Floyd family and Crump a side eye. From the people that Floyd lived with, they stated the family never visited or had a relationship with him in over 6 years. Before his death. They didn't even come get his belongings when he died. In fact, his belongings were STILL in his old room. Candace Owens actually paid a company to box up the belongings and ship it to the family.

Man, if you don't rock with me now; don't come around when I die trying to profit and act like we were so close.

This lawsuit is a money grab. All parties should be ashamed.

Are the Sandy Hook or George Floyd families really gonna see the whole amounts of the fines?
Is there any legal precedent for this?

Where the BGOL lawyers at?

Owens is playing you and you falling for it.

  • George Floyd died from asphyxiation, from his neck being compressed by former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin’s knee, according to witness testimonies and autopsy reports.
  • The Drink Champs interview during which Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, made this claim was removed from YouTube, Apple Music and Spotify. However, clips from the interview are still circulating on social media.

  • Two autopsy reports ruled that George Floyd’s death on May 25, 2020, was a homicide by asphyxiation, or suffocation. Floyd’s heart stopped when former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin restrained him for several minutes with a knee on his neck. Chauvin was convicted on all three counts of killing Floyd.
  • A medical examiner found high levels of fentanyl in his system, but experts in toxicology, cardiology and drug use stated death by overdose was unlikely or impossible.
