Be careful what you ask for. The whole essence of rap is that rappers are counter culture. They naturally rebel against the status quo. Kanye's real problem is that he doesn't have a true friend who can pull him aside and say "listen, I respect your opinion, but if you go out and talk this way in public you are going to do untold damage to your career, your reputation, and every person in your corner. You need to put the microphone down for a minute and think this through a little better."
Instead he's got a crew of opportunists trying to milk a bad situation any way they can.
Kanye reminds me of a close friend who developed a serious meth addiction and started getting into insanely paranoid conspiracy theories.

One thing you can't deny about Kanye is that he's always been extremely outspoken. Probably more so than any other celebrity.
If he ever overcomes this foolishness and realizes how badly people have been taking advantage of his vulnerabilities he is going to expose each and every one of them. Amber Rose, Kim Kardashian, Donald Trump, Candice Owens, and whoever was dumb enough to look at him wrong on the way to the press conference.
I believe he will get to this point, but not until his career in bank account have been completely demolished.

But he carried that Capone-N-Noreaga ‘The War Report’ album in ‘97 like he was Willis Reed in game 7 of the ‘70 NBA Finals. Shit is an underrated classic.

However when you got everybody calling you a genius, a visionary, screaming your name every time you step on stage and every year there's a new comma in your bank ballance it's kind of hard not to be full of yourself.
It's even harder to strike a balance between being confident in what you bring to the table while also being humble enough to admit that at the end of the day you're just as fucked up and flawed as any other human being. Especially when your circle is full of people that encourage your bad ideas for their own benefit.
I would have loved to sit down and have dinner with a "through the wire" era Kanye. But with the way he is now I wouldn't even want to be in the same room!
A little off topic, but ever since Kanye's MAGA rebirth my white fans have been requesting his music a lot more. However they only want to hear his older stuff, play anything new and they'll just stand there and look at you funny. I'm not completely sure what to make of that.
He did have a few hits on albums that overall sucked. The War Report was a pillar to post and back gem.
Go to a Latin bar, request "oy mi canto" and watch the whole dance floor light up. Especially if the DJ just played "Gasolina"
