The parents of young Marquise Jackson are wrangling over the issue in family court in this Long Island community, where 50 Cent arrived Friday in an armored SUV equipped with a satellite dish.

I lived in in NYC my whole and I know how much it cost to live there. But 50 cent's son and his mother was getting $13,400 a month, not $6,700. They are splitting the money. To my understanding, I believe 50 cent brought her a house and gave her a few millions before the child support. Shit is crazy...

Like the interviewer was about to say, if 50 "only" had to pay $6,700/mo that means the court had financial records to show that after household expenses the mother could afford "the other half" ($6,700) towards his care. Child support is supposed to be in the child's best interest and about their well-being. So if she's living in Long Island and not in a fucking shack, she got some bread of her own coming in.
