You mean 3rd don't you, they said Mac Jones was having a better start to his career than Brady so he's the second coming:lol:
Just thinking of the circumstances. An unknown Brady came in for an injured Bledsoe and the rest is history.

Bailey Zappe about to make a New England legend of himself...lolz

One of the reasons they dont use Kmet. He is a shitty route runner
and he isnt physical enough to get separations against LBs or SS.

You ever see his footwork, he runs his routes like he is running in
wet cement/quicksand.

I know what you mean, but that was the ONE thing I seen him do at Notre Dame and was a major need for us: a big RZ target. He can get a little goofy running (which makes it even more a mystery why they think it's a good idea to use him in the screen game ).. but he's a big body dude that I seen box smaller defenders out and get jump balls.

I get throwing Kmet some screens since he is good once the ball is in his hands. He's got a nasty stiff arm. I was wondering if they were going to use Velus Jones to run some of those short push passes but I guess with his hamstring that's still not much of an option.
On the brightside the team doesn't need to win anyway. We need high draft picks to bring some talent particularly at WR and a stud DT even if that means Poles pulls the same shit he did this year and trade down, stack a bunch of picks and have so many young guys in that someone has to step up and make an impact.
And get that TE Darnell Washington from Georgia in the 3rd round or so if he's available. He's at least such a good blocker that it'll be like having another lineman out there on top of him catching some passes

Kmet is tough, but he takes some weird hits at times too. Matter of fact, him AND Fields don't really know how to protect themselves with the ball in their hands :smh:

You're right about the bigger picture though. This team won't tank (which I would never root for anyway) but we need to (#1) install the systems on both sides of the ball (#1A) actually see what we have/don't have on the roster so we can make more strategic talent upgrades and (#2) actually make it to next offseason/draft in one piece in order to execute that plan going fwd. That's what this season is about.

I didn't see the Bears game so I need to ask this. Were all those sacks on Fields coverage sacks or was the Giants front seven that good today?

It was a little bit of everything:

- Whitehair got hurt so Patrick had to play RG and the Giants blew him up a few times
- There were times Fields appeared to hold the ball too long, but w/o seeing the all-22 can't really tell is it was him not seeing or no WRs open
- Other times Giants just brought too much pressure

Things appeared to be better in the 2nd half as far as protecting him, but the playcalling was weird at times.

Considering how much Fields has run particularly last year he's done a good job of either getting out of bounds or sliding. Most of the bad hits that he's taken have been late hits that the refs should have thrown a flag for but didn't. Kmet just opens himself up to get blown up

Aaron Rodgers is not playing well. Overthrown receivers on top of the Pick 6.

4 games into the season and you have 4 fumbles. Melvin Gordon that would normally get you benched for a few games or cut.
Considering that Javonte Williams is there and he appears like the type who could run a team down if you'd let him they could cut Gordon's workload entirely if they wanted to.
Even if we had him, he would've more than likely been on the practice squad and unavailable for today
They've got Davis Webb waiting in the wings on the practice squad for whatever that's worth.
