Delivery drivers confess to eating food, damaging packages and other bad behavior in poll

I've dealt with customer service about 7 - 10 times in recent years when they've made small errors at the checkout. Nothing too serious - usually $3 or less that you just want quickly corrected before you head out. Thankfully the customer service have all been good. Definitely takes a certain temperament when your job is dealing with random people approaching you.

Customer service are probably more on edge with the BIG transactions at big box stores dealing with electronics, furniture, etc. Concerns with warranties or faulty goods, etc.

That's what I was thinking too. Drones being more effective & less easy to tamper with.

The London Drugs locations in and around our city here are all in popular areas. Near 2 of the malls which are close to highways and freeways, and one along Hastings St which is a main thoroughfare at all times of the day. Plenty of car & pedestrian traffic. Seems like alot of obstacles to navigate.

Exactly I see them shits needing waaay too much maintenance eventually.. they will have to reconstruct

"smart" cities around them.. and smart cities are at least fifty years away...

The crazy shit is, there is gonna be a really really big push in the next ten years to push people

into the metaverse.. in fact they are going to make it so, you can literally, wake up, power up the p.c

and literally make good money, sending your cyber avatar to work everyday... making crypto you will

be able to exchange for physical money..

from a technology standpoint its going to get real crazy... I just hope cities dont end up like them cities

in the movie real player one tho...where everybody was so immersed in a fake universe, the real world went to helll...

I loved that premise...

Man ... when it's all spaceshifts and hovercrafts, EVs, and cyber avatars ... it's gonna be a mess. I want to be around for it all, but at the same time I don't.

Probably would rather just be a fly on the wall or bird in the sky (dodging the drones and shit).

Agreed. Especially over the phone ... harder to explain things and for it to all make sense in the moment.

One of the worst experiences I had (tested the patience) was around 2015 or so. Had filed my taxes by hand for years without issue with the CRA (Canada Revenue Agency). For whatever reason that year they processed things incorrectly. Didn't include my RRSP contribution (which lowers taxable income) and didn't have my income included either. They had me just down as a base income of $10 - 12,000 or whatever the minimum is. I don't remember all the terms. And when I called to correct things and follow up ... they then went and included that BASE income (their mistake) with my real income, and still didn't include my retirement contribution. Said I owed thousands of dollars. I didn't. After several follow-up calls ... "please call this number at this time ... 3 weeks from now" type shit ... it all got corrected. They ended up owing me thousands, INSTEAD of the other way around. What a hassle.

Ever since then have just been filing things online, and filing for some older family members as well.

Have encouraged a couple of the software programs to friends and coworkers too.

* Kept reminding myself when dealing with the people over the phone ... they're trying to correct things. One of their coworkers fucked things up, not them. They're trying to correct that person's mistakes.
