I’m thinking they announce they’re going to discontinue and everybody snatch them up and due to popular demand they announce they’re going to keep them around and profit more

So, that's kind of what Porsche did a few years ago.

They announced that they were producing their last manual car. That fucking car's price went through the roof!!!!
Porsche prices had already skyrocketed, but this sent prices soaring!!!

Then the next year, all of a sudden, they announced that they would still produce manuals on some cars.

They completely fucked over collectors that thought they were buying the last one.

I always see people in the Charger/Challenger group posting letters from their neighbors/HOA telling them that their car is to loud and it's annoying and the other members will just laugh and tell them how the neighbors just wish they had one and give the person tips on how to make the car even louder
