First off, it was meant to be like an 80’s shoot ‘em up flick. It’s supposed to be fun and pointless. The fight scenes were ON POINT. if you’ve got Scott Atkins in it expect some good times. They were just too short IMO. second, you’ve Megan Goode in it. Cmon y’all. Again, not enough of her in the flick. And last of all…..
There was a fuckin PANAMA SUNRISE executed perfectly. Adam Cole woulda been proud. Y’all gotta stop being so harsh.
Honorable mention is Snoop stayin tru to his west coast roots. Socal native here so I’m a bit biased here but that shit made me smile.

It was cool to watch. It was entertaining I guess. :dunno:

A lot of it was stupid though. Like the lotion was interesting, but they didn't even use it.

and the "good" vampire, who are good....but I'm not sure why they're good

and Snoop was so fucking weird.

The writing was trash.

But that concept in the right hands could have been a franchise starting classic

man this shit was a hot steaming pile of ass cheeks. foh with this c level shit. was it a drama?comedy?action? shit was all over the place and snoop did his snoop thing which was no damn acting.

John Campea ripped the movie, but i thought it was good...it definitely wasn't terrible. Like i wasn't expecting great writing, not sure what people were expecting. it was what it was for me...just a fun movie. i do agree with campea's team talking about the different breeds..like that didn't really go anywhere

This is a B movie with a high budget. It could have been good if they refined the story some more.
I agree 100%...

This movie could have been so much more. The lead Vampire just didn't do it for me at all. Her number one henchman was more believable than she was.

Jamie Fox's side-kick in the movie was awful and annoying. And Jamie's last name in the flick was what? Polish?

Megan Goode looked great, her character was typical... "If you don't get more money, I'm leaving. And I'm taking your child with me." How many times has this scene played out in a movie? And the chase scene, for real?

Snoop's character was just "Okay." Homie goes down fighting wearing boots, but comes up wearing "Chucks." Snoop was great in "Training Day." In this one, he was just Ok.

If you're going to have a big star in a movie, come with a good story, and good dialog. The story was Ok. Too many gaps. For instance, how did O'le Girl become the lead Vampire in LA? How did the agency begin? How did Jamie's character get into game? There was no back story to none of that shit.

The soundtrack was the best thing about the movie: "A"

I would have loved to see Megan Goode at the pool or in a negligee or something, DAMN!

It was a "B" movie. That's it. :dunno:

This writing was feeble, Campea was right on that.

And that's why understand the hate

Because just a little bit of effort on the script could have made a huge difference

The writing was so bad it actually messed up the viewing experience.

The different breeds, the history of the union, the sun block, the villian overall scheme, the vampire killing guns, the wife not knowing...

A good script cleans all that up and we got a franchise starting classic.

Even selling the fangs conceot they seem to have messed up

Remember Foxx went to the pawn shop to sell the fangs and ended up selling his sneakers and gun? Why did it seem the union graded the fangs cheaper? I could be wrong but that's the problem....

The writing was so just unclear lazy and confusing.

Sounds like it was written by Hideo Kojima.

Wife said she wanted to watch it but I remember seeing this thread reviews and I said no thanks. Yesterday she said let's watch Day Shift, sure I have my phone to keep me busy.

I wasn't expecting anything special but the first fight scene asked are you paying attention. I was. This is a total turn your brain off movie like the Expendables. Just sit back, relax and enjoy. Who cares if a shotgun kills one vampire and 50 shots to the head doesn't kill another. A few times i said why dont they just. But i forgot to just sit back. We are talking about vampires here now people want reality.

The brothers need a solo movie with a Jamie extra. That fight scene was worth rewinding.

Think Left 4 dead mixed with Dead Rising (zombie video games).

Again sit back and just enjoy. Will I watch a sequel yes.
