That was Oct 2020. Things changed day to day. Any plans he or Trump had then wouldn't be valid several months later. Trump could have gotten the pandemic under control from jump, but he was worried about the stock market and how many cases were counted in the country. Raw numbers aren't the be all end all. Remdesivir was a dud, probably adding to the deaths that occurred over the last 2 years. Hydroxychloroquine actually does protect against COVID-19. Vitamin D also is protective. The vaccine wasn't/isnt a great look.
