Olivia Newton-John, singer and actress, dead at 73

The queen of hearts. I used to have a hell of a crush on that white woman back in the early eighties. Rest in peace. All my childhood people are dying. It's not right. It's not fair. Rest in peace

(Edit, I always thought it was her who sang Queen of Hearts, but that was Juice Newton). Still I was crushing on her ass in the early 80s anyway

Damn. Was browsing stations on the way in this morning and landed on Yacht Rock Radio. "Magic" was playing and I stopped browsing and listened to the whole tune. Great song...hadn't heard it in a while. RIP to her.
Indeed a great song. From Xanadu, the worst movie ever made.
RIP

Man...
That's My absolutely FAVORITE Song of Hers.
The Production and Bassline gives it a light seductive feel.
I always felt it was a way more sexier song than "PHYSICAL".

And Yeah.
"XANADU" was trash.
But some great songs by Newton-John and ELO
Haven't seen it in DECADES!
But I'm going to find a download of it later.

R.I.P.

A few months ago, I downloaded their whole discography and "I'm Alive" reminded me of the movie.
Regretfully, I went and watched it again.

I loved ELO back in the day.
They were actually one of my favorite bands.
The uncle of one of the Cats I went to high school (NYC) with, was their Touring Manager.
That was the time of "OUT OF THE BLUE".

Wow... RIP Sandy

Summer love forever. John Travolta gave a touching tribute to his Grease costar Olivia Newton-John following her death on Monday, August 8.

“My dearest Olivia, you made all of our lives so much better. Your impact was incredible. I love you so much,” Travolta, 68, wrote via Instagram post alongside a photo of the Face Off star. “We will see you down the road and we will all be together again. Yours from the first moment I saw you and forever! Your Danny, your John!”

Travolta and Newton-John first came together while portraying Sandy and Danny in the iconic 1978 musical Grease. The two characters fall in love during summer vacation and have to adjust to life together when Sandy suddenly transfers to Danny’s school.

Grease was successful both critically and commercially, becoming the highest-grossing musical film ever at the time, while the soundtrack album landed as the second best-selling record of the year in the U.S. Newton-John also nabbed an Oscar nomination for her character’s song “Hopelessly Devoted to You” at the 51st Academy Awards.
Following their time as America’s favorite onscreen couple, Travolta and Newton-John remained close, even costarring in the 1983 film Two of a Kind together.

Me and my big sister (4 years older) going to see Grease is one my my earliest movie theater memories. I loved that movie. Grease, the Jungle Book and Porky's a couple of years later. We were way too young to be in Porky's but they didn't police kids and ID's back then like they do now. Grease is still one of my favorite movies. I just watched it again last week. I never watched Grease 2. One of my favorite soundtracks. Random: The TV version edits the lyrics now for Greased Lightenin and takes out "the chicks'll cream" Pisses me off every time.

RIP. :(
