the monkey spazzed out. Asian kid was focusing on the shoe, which I don't know the significance of, so the monkey was cool. He basically tamed it and that's why he thought he could tame the alien

there are rules to dealing with animals whether are horses, monkeys or alien creatures
the monkey scenario was to show what could wrong when an animal goes amock and it can be tamed/understood if you have repoire/follow certain rules
