If you go back to ...1960, an overwhelming number of players on teams couldn't make a team today. Probably 75-80%. BUT, every player in the NBA today and ALL G League starters could make a 1960 NBA roster. Austin Reeves of the Lakers would be a star. JJ Reddick would be a star. JaVelle McGee would be an All Star.

Christian Wood would be a star.

Players MUCH BETTER THESE DAYS. Better skills, better physical talents, more of them, better training.......:laptop:

Yea because the game evolved. The amount of kids that play basketball today doesn't even compare to back then.

They didn't have AAU, basketball camps, 1 on 1 training etc, so of course you are going to have much more advanced players.

Basketball was fairly new so nobody really grew up watching an elite player to try to emulate back then.

These new players have the luxury to have watched the GOATS and build upon their game.

It's unfair and disrespectful to shit on the old players who paved the way for you to play and make millions.

Physically no doubt about it, but could they make it mentally?

Exactly!

This interview coming from an "average former NBA player" is interesting in how he explains how he learned a lot from players in the past.

JJ should have kept these comments to himself
WHY it was the TRUTH

I'll double down on it that Boston championships in that era was super suspect only had like 8 teams foh

Unfortunately life isn't like Back ToThe Future so your scenario doesn't truly work.

You can't transport players from now to an earlier time period with the same skill set, knowledge and overall game.

There was no 3 point like so JJ would be irrelevant, and Christian and JaVelle would just be tall and Austin Reeves would just be white and tall! :roflmao:

Don’t quote me with agent 0

Yeah, an actual player that was a superstar shouldn’t be quoted about judging talent.
The difference between Gil and Kobe is that Gil is not going to say the politically correct answer about past players.
