{The Official 2021-22 NBA Thread} - Finals: Warriors vs Celtics…{4-2 advantage warriors } Dubs NBA champs, Curry MVP

@playahaitian I thought about you this week (pause) since you complain about the media

I've been watching Wimbledon, and the way they cover Kyrgois is far different than how a lot of our studio and sports personalities cover problematic players. Especially now since he has a domestic case and it's not just on the court.

Not sure if it's intentional or not, but they seem to go out of their way to say positive. Even after his incident where the opposing player called him a bully.

Hmmmm....

Your not wrong

But the tide has turned they been going full court press (pardon the mixed metaphor) on him since Nadal quit and he is facing another jerk in Joker.

It's like a battle of the villians.

But overall The hypocrisy is glaring

Suddenly no one cares about Ben Simmons mental state

Harden is a hero cause he took a pay cut

Un vaccinated players in baseball are actually causing teams to lose important games... crickets.

Funny how all that works.

Dame a clown. Owner been talking shit and ignoring him and he been complaining about one sided loyalty. They just told this nigga to take the hush money and stfu. I dont wanna hear shit from this nigga about loyalty, winning or not being respected again if he sign that deal.

See now I question how true that all was on the first place?

It's like you can't trust any if these so called journalists now.

See to me ?

In 2022 this should get a so called sports journalist suspended

At the least a retraction

Or the union should send a lawyer

Cause at this rate what they getting paid for?

When random Twitter accounts are more reliable?

Wtf that say about the entire industry?

Come on dude, he got fed bad information from a source.

Some players have certain relationship with players, like Chris is cool with Dame and Steph. Some are close with agents, execs or owners.

Should you get suspended at your job every time you make a mistake? There's is just more public, nobody is 100%.

You want to treat them differently, just like you complain about. Someone mess up your order at Wendy's, they should get suspended?

This Kevin shit is interesting

because he really picked a bad off season to demand a trade for Brooklyn.

and then Utah happen and the haul they got for a one sided player....Minnesota fucked things up.

and a team like OKC and Houston that have a ton of picks can't trade for him and then have him pull the same shit.

Yup

Hold on you comparing a Wendy worker to a national journalist?

At some point these guys are going to have to risk a one year (after unrestricted free agency) to go to a team where there's a chance to win. Signing max money in Minnesota is a death sentence. Get that rookie contract and bounce if things haven't changed. Can't seen any team breaking the bank to get Kevin Durant. If you're on the cusp you won't be after this trade considering what it will cost you.

And his white handler did him no favors. Nigga a top 3 player and didnt get him a no trade, opt out, nor trade kicker in his deal. Brooklyn should ship his ass to Sacramento with Mike Brown.

He was supposed to be there long term. It was his team...thats why they conceded all that shit to him. Give him all the pieces he asked for and watch the chips roll in. So much for that..

Here's the question...are superstar players over valued when you consider that jordan as great as he was..only had success when he was surrounded by the right talent in the right system. Dude was dropping 50 pieces in a losing effort before phil Jackson and the triangle offense and pippin an' nem.

And dropped 50 damn near 40 years old..in a losing effort with the magic. So his talent as great as it was didn't garentee trophies. And the same with kd and kyrie...so are superstar players over valued in the NBA?

Yes, because everyone makes mistakes in their job

and journalist depend on intel, and sometimes they are purposefully fed misleading information for various reasons as part of negotiations or leverage.

You act like someone was hurt by him being inaccurate.

Dude didn't get a player option year for his last year

Let's not act like Jordan had a team full of all stars

He had nice role players and another all star besides the garbage and Oak that was on his team before.

Teams weren't beating down the door for Bill Wennington, John Paxon and Bill Cartwright. BJ Armstrong didn't leave and carry a team to a title.

Team chemistry is important tho. My point was sticking jordan on any team didn't automatically garentee rings or even a team that goes deep in the playoffs. Look at kd.... teams on the brink of a chip would have to give up too much to get him (best example the sixers gave up bench depth to get harden...in a 5 for 2 swap just to get no further than they already been)...smaller market teams can't get him....and great teams could use him but don't really need him..golden state proved that.

So for people wondering why no one's breaking the bank to get him..thats why...

KD is 34 and had a achilles injury. I think it would be different if he were 27. Lebron and CP3 have sort of made age look different, but that 34 age is the fall off a cliff point. Especially with the crazy minutes he had to play at his age last year.

Plus his timing was bad. If he did it before Utah/Minnesota, I think it might have happen.

Brooklyn can afford to be picky. They technically have Kyrie and Kevin for next year. They've already hurt the team by getting rid of draft picks for Harden. And they know what it's like to have been hurt by signings and start from zero. I'm sure they aren't going to want to repeat the same mistakes. Instead of the title you went all out for, you end up being a bad team for the next decade.

I was thinking. I think Utah is keeping Donovan, until next summer. I think teams will have more flexibility next summer and will prepare.

Utah has the all star game. Who the fuck is flying in to Utah? They're going to need a lot of local support, so they need Donovan for that.

An All Star game in Utah and you have Donovan and Rudy possibly playing on other teams?

Also, are you dudes aware Brooklyn got rid of three assistant coaches, but are keeping Nash?

What the fuck is that shit?

So not sure if Amare left willingly.

Is this because news got out on shit that was going on with the team....like Kyrie's practices?

or were they trying to appease KD again?

Maybe they're using the assistants as the scapegoats because of Nash ineptness? Remember he had more experienced coaches before with Jacque Vaughn(still with them), D'Antoni, and Udoka.
