Travel heads: Does anyone have Global Entry?

got it

Do you have it? Is it worth the investment?

I have it. Its worth it if you travel internationally. However if you're planning on travelling within 6 months you might want to wait since getting your interview can take time. But spending $100 vs $85 makes it an easy decision. An extra $15 over 5 yrs is nothing.

I'm only a peasant with an American Express Blue Card Preferred

I have it.. I get it for "free" as one of the membership benefits with my Chase Sapphire Reserve card.
...unfortunately I got da shit right before the panny and haven't been able to really take advantage yet. Got to get it poppin tho.

Worth every penny!! Getting through customs is a breeze with it and the TSA pre-check is a huge bonus. Hell I use the pre-check 10 times more when I travel. Win win

I have the Sapphire Preferred. I should've just gone with the Reserve, but I was worried I wouldn't use the card enough to justify the $450 annual fee.

Worth every penny. Especially the first time you land in MIA or FLL and get to avoid that long ass customs line.
Have the AMEX platinum so it's free, along with CLEAR. Will say, coming through customs in MIA or FLL is a breeze. Those lines be murder. All customs does is look at my passport, ask like three questions and done. Don't even look in my bags. So most definitely worth it. Added bonus is skipping past all the CAC and the look on their faces. Just throw up a piece sign and smile as I slide my black ass to the front of the line.

I was thinking of jumping on this but I doubt I will get an interview in time for my vacations august and October

Is it worth the cost? $100 isn't a bad deal for 5 years and it includes TSA Precheck, but I'm more curious about the Global Entry as I plan to do more international traveling.
Two weeks ago I got the conditional approval. All I need is to just finalize my shit when I come back for my next trip.

CDL with Hazmat endorsement gives you free TSA pre....If I didn't get it free I'd pay for it.

I will say this, if you've had ANY arrests or warrants ever you might not get through. Do some research. There are people that got a warrant for not paying a ticket 20 years ago and that shit got brought up.

But it's well worth it. When I came back from Greece last year it took me 30 seconds to get through. They do facial recognition now.

If you're going to do a lot of traveling, I recommend the platinum. The room upgrades and later checkout times come in clutch plus $100 a day for breakfast. And some places have even more perks.

If you plan on traveling in and out of the country more then 10 times over the next 5 years, you have to get it, especially if you are single. You save time with TSA Pre-Check, no waiting in line so you can get to duty store quicker and sample the alcohols before your plane takes off. Coming back into the country, the passport lines are crazy long cause other planes besides yours are coming in. With Global Entry, you have your own machines to check back in with and a short line with the Pilots to walk into the luggage area. Sometimes they don't even man the GE booth cause they need help with passport lines. The time you save means you can hit the can and change shirts or wash your face before the luggage unloads.

I like being the last one off the plane, so I am not around the nuts that be rushing and cutting to get off the plane so they can get to the passport line faster. All of them that were rushing still don't beat me, cause I am able to bypass the passport line.

If you have an Amex Platinum you get it for free, as well as $200 a year credit on an airline of your choice.

I've had it for years and I love it.

I have never had issues returning here.

Headaches have always been getting into and out of the other country.

Maybe it's because O'hare is a major hub and they are always well-staffed in customs so there really isn't much wait with that amount of lines open.

Mannnnnn, that is the best shyt EVER!!!!!!
I cleared customs in Record time when I came back from France.
I went to TJ when I was in San Diego and damn near walked thru customs coming back into the States....
I would only say that having Clear and Pre-Check is better......
