One thing the GOP is good at doing is coming up with schemes and putting them into action unlike Democrats.

But the GOP Achilles Heel is they never consider worst case scenario’s and unforeseen consequences.

One good example with the Conservatives was Prohibition. The movement started in the late 1800s and started on the grassroots local level and made it up to Washington DC for the law to be put into place.

The unforeseen consequence was nobody had any idea or concept that a result of Prohibition would be “Organized Crime”. It created basically a whole new industry and economy in this country that they can’t get rid off and has spread internationallly.

Forcing the Government to fully legalize alcohol and put control over it.

Another example was China doing the one child policy. It seemed like a great idea, but nobody took into account that in Chinese culture, boys are more valued than girls and the general populace was aborting and in some cases killing baby girls.

This caused a imbalance in the male/female ratio in the Country forcing China to reverse the policy. It’s going to take decades to get the population to rebalance itself out.

With abortion in this country, this decision will blow up somehow. One thing that it will effect is the labor market. Women make up a large part of the labor market in this country. Banning abortion and other health related concerns for women will cause them to drop out of the labor force.

And who is going to replace them? Majority of jobs held by women are not jobs men do, like doing or have any interest in doing. Along with the fact their are more women in this country than men, so it’s impossible to replace those women.

Over time we will see the unforeseen consequences of this decision, and it won’t be good for anybody.

The US government was not only I’ll-equipped to handle Covid, they took the fact they couldn’t manufacture masks and made the yokels hate masks. The US government isn’t unique: the majority of its citizens are dumb.
