{The Official 2021-22 NBA Thread} - Finals: Warriors vs Celtics…{4-2 advantage warriors } Dubs NBA champs, Curry MVP

II called this at the beginning of the year. Boston? I'm actually surprised they made it out the East after watching them play. Spent way too much time on the floor and on their backs trying to draw fouls and free throws. How many times did you see the stars drive all the way to the basket and make a minimal effort to actually shoot and more effort to draw contact? Then when they didn't get the call stop and complain to the refs while GS is going the other way. I swore the Celtics would listen to the pundits because THAT was a key point brought up and what did they do? The same ol' thing. They'll be lucky to make it out the East next year.

I said when I would watch the ECF and WCF how when you watched the Warriors/Mavs series it was pretty clean with minimal flopping but when you watched the Celtics/Heat series all you'd see was the Celtics flopping the whole game and I'm talking about the whole team besides the big men (Horford and Robert Williams), Smart, Tatum, Brown, SMART, White, Grant Williams, SMART were all flopping everytime down the court on both offensive and defensive ends

The Draymond Green Show, Championship Edition

Klay was talking about doubting himself when he first came back, says he was getting dusted by G-Leaguers on defense

Why is it dudes hate the Stephen A's and Skip's, but then talk about basketball the same way they do.

With the recency hot take opinions

One minute Tatum is a superstar who is one of the five best players in the league, the next he ain't shit

One minute Curry isn't top ten, then the next he's on the Mt Rusmore and the best point guard

Giannis doesn't win this year, and it's out of sight out of mind, not worthy of being mentioned

It's really like what the fuck....did you dudes always discuss basketball like this

How would it be him?

So today it's him, but yesterday it wasn't?
What you mean? That's how this shit works. Have the stats and the hardware to back it up, right?
But wasn't it really Draymond who orchestrated the whole thing?
It's Steph's team though. In that case, he checking Draymond too.

In the end, Steph is the man. He proved that yesterday. KD still a big bitch who choked against steph, joined him, and ain't do shit since leaving even with another superstar who also rode coattails and didn't like it.

They aren't discussing basketball from watching they are just watching these shows on ESPNand FS1 and then discussing basketball based on what they heard those talking heads say. I stopped taking guys serious when I was debating someone and they started talking about PER, +/-, shooting percentages and stuff like that, because you had to get that stuff from the media not from watching the game. So those hottakes you're talking about is just hottakes taken from some analyst. I remember last year i was on some sports site and we were talking about Brady, this comes in there and starts talking about “air yards“, everybody was laughing like WTF is that, dude talking since we had to ask that means we don't know about football

I always figured this....

"Andrew Bynum was cold though. He didn't care. He wore like the same red shoes with everything, like these loafers. I don't think he ever wanted to play at all. Because he was supposed to come back and then he went bowling or something like and tore his knee. He used to like drive in his Ferrari that he couldn't fit in. He used to love Ferraris and racing. But he was outside the arena just doing donuts in the Ferrari in the snow. The GM was like, 'What is wrong with him?' Like in front of the bus just doing donuts with a torn ACL."

He could have been a all star center and one of the best in the league prior to his injuries. He was just tall and could make millions, but didn't love the sport.

BOSTON COULDN'T SCORE 100 POINTS

They still went even deeper without ol peanut brittle and glass Kyrie. Kyrie definitely mad! Boston played outstanding, they were just outgunned and had younger horses to run with the young Boston team. Tatum's time is coming. Oh, Steph basically told mfs to bow down and kiss the ring! Dubs did their thing.

It's like damn....I see the same thing. I'm confused.

Instead of just talking about the games

The discussion has to be _______ vs ________

Who's the best trio? Who's the best dynasty? Who's the best point guard?

Just like suddenly Jimmy jumped in to the top 10 players in the league from two good games.

Man, if Joker or Luka ever get a title, watch out, because the way dudes discuss basketball, and accept that shit. :smh:

Interesting take indeed... Personally I have no problem with Stephen A.

Tatum is a star in the league, not top 5, but he will get there fa sho

Curry been in my top 5, but now he's #1 - bruh greatly impacted how the game is played

Giannis is a beast, he'd be my 2nd pick

They are both great at their positions and bring different things to the position. Steph just added another ring to his showcase. Showed impressive leadership to go with the stats.

So Magic didn't have impressive leadership winning titles in college and the NBA :hmm:

and he doesn't have five titles?

Much less actually having led the league in assist.

It's like dudes have no knowledge of basketball other than what ESPN and Skip and Shannon are feeding you

Man, I'm not taking away from Magic. After Steph brought on the big bitch, made me feel weird about him. But he ditched the big bitch, and brought a title on his own while being the MVP. And it matches his stats.

Just proves going to war with Steph as your PG would match up against any team lead by another all-time PG.

I'm not trying to start a magic vs steph war. Just saying yesterday meant a lot to his legacy. Period. No one can say shit about steph now. And I don't like him. Magic was my childhood hero.

I just calls them likes I sees them.

Real talk...

I still don't understand how PER PLUS MINUS etc etc works

I think you actually sent me a link explanation I still don't get it

Ummm

I hope my brother's realize you been dropping some fire about this specific topic

Steph is great but do you think he could've moved from team to team and had the success Lebron did? Any team Lebron went to they became contenders, you can't just put Steph on a team and get that
Do I think that Steph could leave the warriors, go play with former top 5 draft picks and have similar success - absolutely... Lebron is an all-time great, but much of his succuss to me is attributed to his physical size... If Steph was his size shit we'd be talking GOAT conversation... Closing seconds who do I trust to hit the game winner - Steph all day whether it be a jump shot or he takes it to the rack... Lebron ehhhh - taking it to the rack yeah, a jump shot, nahhh
Lebron could go to the worst league in the team and bring them to the playoffs, I doubt Curry could do that. GSW is a well oiled machine with Wiggens, Poole, Thompson, Green.
Ehhhhh... Wiggins(people wrote him off from previous years and shitted on him for not wanting to get vaccinated) Poole (bruh came from the G League, no fan expected his game to have that impact), and Thompson (no one knew what kind of player he would be after 2yrs off the court)... But the well oiled machine you mentioned is a credit to Kerr for getting the most out of his players to compliment his superstar... That's something lebron doesn't allow, coaches to do their job - he wants to be the GM,HC, and star player
