I agree with that. They fund the politicians to bend over backwards to appease them and their agendas. Similar comes from the opposing side as well. Bills have been placed by both sides that make sense but don't get passed because of party loyalty. All that finger pointing shit from both sides is frustrating as hell and we're stuck in the middle dealing with all of the repercussions.
Someone define "assault weapon" without mentioning a AR-15.
Ironically the congressional definition makes at least 85% of current firearms meet that criteria
Assualt rifle to me is when you can kill 20 to 30 mf in the same time as you could kill 5 or 6 before someone could stop your crazy ass! Especially when it's kids or any specific race. It's hard having a decent convo with people who are obsessed with it's our right vs it's humanity.
But you can do that with a hand gun or a ranch rifle
An AR15 operates the same as any other semi automatic weapon - thus is whats so crazy about what ppl are thinking....
The lack of logic in saying something should be done about these types of shootings and then resorting to the thing that really won't stop someone from doing these types of shootings just shows how much of a disillusioned world ppl.live in
It's the visual of the AR that makes ppl not used to firearms extra nervous. They think that M-Lok handguard or collapsible stock play a role in the function of the rifle's action. I've spoken with plenty of ppl who were under that impression and some even confused bolt-action rifles with ARs because of the handguard.

You have ppl who are declaring they are machine guns ....and then turn around and say that handguns aren't as bad ...when both rifle and hand gun are semi automatic- they operate the same way and can shoot as rapidly as each other

When lots of rifle bullets tumble since that's what happens to rifle rounds at the speed they travel and what occurs once they hit something

I've said this in other posts as well. Ppl who think a standard AR round is high powered are very fortunate .308 or 30_06 rifles weren't used cuz they will definitely blow chunks out. It really slays me when ppl get on public outlets and talk about firearms like they're experts but what they actually say is chock full of bullshit. I remember when one Senator say she held an AR before and that it weighed as much as 10 boxes and shoots 50 caliber bullets
On top of that, a lot of these shooters are buying their firearms with credit cards.
Some areas of the country, you can finance the weapon and make monthly payments they same way you purchase/lease a car.
In other words….some of these mofos are doing these mass shootings with “Free” guns.
