I think it's just made up motivational talk cuzzo. I've literally never heard anyone say that about these two.

My mom was in town that weekend and I had just taken her out to lunch. We got back with a few minutes left in that game, and I said I had to flip it on. When he hit that shot, I was at a loss for words. Just in a state of wow / damn. Mom asked me - "How big was that shot?" I explained it was HUGE and it was their team making the Finals for the first time in essentially the franchise's 25 year history. Explained to her our Grizzlies were only in town for 5 - 6 seasons, haha! Said they would be in TOUGH though as they'd be facing the Warriors ...

So I guess everyone is just going to have a debate as to how long it will take GS to beat the Celtics? Probably be 4-1 like they just did Luka and the muskateers.

I'm a cavs fan so I hope the celtics win. But it was the same with the Mavs and Memphis. KD probably hope Boston win too.

it shows the mind frame shift in the sport. in the early 00s 90s and 80s EVERY PERSON would have drove to the basket and forced overtime. Jimmy put that shit up with 17.9 seconds on the clock...down by 2 with only one person in any position to try to stop him.

this "launch 3s at will" mentality may be exciting to watch but its fucked up basic common sense in the game. And thats not the only time thats happened. Players have poor clock management/awareness and it seems to be rooted in the up tick of shooting 3s as a first choice.

And even if he had hit it boston would have still had 16 seconds to get a shot off themselves before OT.

that was just poor decision making on butlers part. :smh::smh::smh::smh:

Great coaching by him to beat a team on the road in a game 7. It seems like the media really isn't giving the brother much praise for what he's accomplished as a 1st year head coach.
He came in and did what that cac couldn’t do in 10 years

imagine if udoka had kyrie and Gordon instead of smart and williams

man what

I agree that he should have either shot a mid range jumper or driven to the basket, but the more I think about it, the more it seems like it was an act of desperation.

He knew that they wouldn't survive an overtime anyway, so he wanted to try to put the game away at that moment. He was already gassed, and probably wouldn't have been very effective in overtime.

Other than Bam, he was out there by himself. Tucker had zero points and had a - 16 +/-, Lowery was making dumbass plays and would have found a way to fuck up in overtime, & Herro played almost 7 minutes and had zero points.
