Official - Better Call Saul - Discussion Thread

Lots of folks are thinking Kim is gonna get killed.

I suspect one of two outcomes will happen.

1. Kim finds out she is pregnant, with whatever heat is coming toward her and Saul, Saul makes the decision to give all their money to her and flee Albuquerque and just disappear with no contact with him, in order to protect her and the kid.

2. Kim made such a good impression to Lalo in their apartment last season, that he hires her and dumps Saul ending their relationship. Kim stood there face to face with Lalo giving good advice on the situation at hand and not stumbling like Saul.

We will wait and see.
These are good ideas.

Good times in store

Thanks.

We're probably gonna check out Severance, Billy the Kid, and That Dirty Black Bag a few weeks from now.

Also looking forward to Stranger Things' return later this week.

Finished Atlanta season 3 the other day, and started The Wilds season 2. Going to chip away at those ones.

Gotdamn

lalo

their game got Howard killed smh

Did it though?

Suppose there was no plot against Howard. Instead Saul and Kim decide to treat him really nice and invite him over for dinner. In that case, Lalo would have still come over and Howard would still be dead.

The reason Howard was in that apartment is completely irrelevant.

Are you slow, had they not fucked with Howard he wouldn’t have popped up at their home

and Howard wouldn’t even show up to their home

whatever man lol

One thing that I really don't understand. Why are Saul and Kimmy so worried about Lalo?

Up to now every single interaction has been positive. He got one of lalo's lieutenants out of jail without a confession, arranged for him to get bail despite being clearly guilty of a murder. And personally delivered all $7 million to the courthouse.

Lalo is smart enough to realize that a small time Albuquerque lawyer wouldn't have the money or the influence to arrange a six-man mercenary team to do a hit on someone in the middle of nowhere

So Why would Lalo want to kill him then?

Even if they didn't fuck with Howard there are dozens of other reasons why he could have still gone to their apartment that night.

Maybe sandpiper settles without the prank and now Howard wants to have a celebratory drink with the brother of his former mentor and best friend.

He could have came around to personally offer a Kim or Jimmy a job.

They could have had him over for dinner.

In the end the reason Howard was at that apartment doesn't matter because from the moment he opened the door he was in the wrong place at the wrong time no matter what.

Somehow Lalo will die, without Jimmy knowing. Jimmy never mentions Kim in Breaking Bad, so he knows she's either dead or gone.

I think Lalo kills Kim, and then Ermantraut kills Lalo in the superlab.

I still say fuck the Salamancas but Lalo is a g

i like the Kim spin off theory someone said earlier, that would be dope

Gus wheels were turning when he heard Lalo’s planned phone call, i wondering what he was thinking

Howard’s melt down was epic, fucked up how he died but fuck Howard

Him and dude who played Howard. He acted his ass off the last two episodes

Agreed. Lalo has been such a great addition to the series once he arrived a few seasons back.

I hear you re: Howard. Noticed some of the online discussions were saying the sign of good acting & a character arc is how they humanized him this season. Over the years he was usually just seen as the clean-cut, uptight douche. All about his career. But showing the shit he's been through & how he's taken it in stride ... and the vulnerability at the end talking to Saul & Kim. Man ... Lalo walking into the conversation & less than a minute later ... damn ... we played that scene back a few times.

u checked out the animated short yet ...?

Before Saul Goodman, a criminal lawyer, before Jimmy McGill, a lawyer anyone can trust, there was: Slippin’ Jimmy; he’s a sly young slickster trying to make it through Catholic school without landing himself and his best pal Marco in detention again.

Just watched the mid season finale.

Interesting episode. Funny watching Lalo hiding out in the storm drains doing stealth work. Seeing him go to the truck stop for a shower was funny.

Lalo going to Saul/Kim apartment, he knows Saul is connected to Gus and plans on using Saul to get near Gus.

If Lalo does go down, hopefully it’s done in a surprising and unexpected way to shock us.

Either Lalo goes down or some type of compromise is made with Jimmy thinking quick that calms everything down and everybody goes their separate way when “Breaking Bad” kicks in.

Series returns July 11, 2022 with 6 episodes.

Looking forward to them!

It was a nice call back to last season where he stopped by their place and interrogated them. Believe that was the episode wherein Mike was monitoring the situation from outside . Only this time with more dire & brutal consequences. Gonna be really interesting to see what type of cover-up happens in regards to when HHM starts questioning his death ...

Even when the scam was playing out i felt bad for Howard and that ending ....WOW
But my question is who is going to feel the cause an effect guilt here? Without the scam Howard
would have never been at the house. What a way to end half of your series finale !!
