Help help! They doing it again y'all!!!

Just had a thought. What if Nikita joined them in AEW and they formed a faction called AEW....All Ebony Women? I'm just gonna leave it right there. Confuse everyone and anyone that says something they beat up and accuse of being racist. Yeah I like that. Sounds like some attitude era shit. She will go by Nikita Dolezal

That shit is corny as fuck. Some wrestling stuff just doesn't translate well over here. Just like Japanese porn, Japanese wrestling is an acquired taste. Kenny Omega will defend anything Japanese though, since he's a Japanophile...
I don't know why people even care what fucking Disco Inferno has to say on modern wrestling or wrestling period.
Disco was a joke of a talent but dude has a ton of wrestling knowledge. I'm not saying I cosign everything he says, but I'll agree with his take over Omega's any day of the week....

Omega has just as much wrestling knowledge as Disco and guess what? He's been World Champion in four different promotions while Disco couldn't get out the mid card in WCW. I tend to value the take of those who have actually made it to the top over mid card has beens with shitty podcasts.

How many world championships did Jake Roberts hold? Scott Hall (RIP) Dean Malenko? Etc.... so their opinions and knowledge on wrestling would play second fiddle to Omega's?

Do you honestly believe Omega would have been main eventing during the Attitude Era?

Omega would have been just like Disco, relegated to the midcard.

Yes, Omega has been world champ in four different promotions, three of which hardly anyone in North America care about.

Disco is like a bench player who soaked up a ton of knowledge by sitting on the pine.

Just like how it's rare that many top guys become the best coaches in the NBA, some of these midcard guys have better insight in the business because of the roles they play.

Winning a championship means next to nothing.

Omega is just obsessed with Japan and wants to Cape for anything critical of Japan.....the way you Cape for anything critical of AEW.

Your argument is the similar to how people say that Phil Jackson is the greatest coach. My sister could win titles with the teams Phil had.

Putting Disco, Jake Roberts and Dean Malenko in the same conversation is CRAZY! I agree with the argument that Japanese wrestling doesn't translate well to ALL audiences here in the States but him attacking them for some of the crazy comedic matches he has had is the pot calling the kettle black. This is the guy who had a Saturday Night Fever gimmick damn near 20 years AFTER the movie came out and then kept it going another 10-20. He really shouldn't be giving hot takes like this.

Also North America is composed of three countries two of which would care about about those three promotions Kenny won titles in.

Phil was a good coach. Give credit where it's due. Yes, his teams were filled with tons of talent, but dude also had to make all those egos work together.

Only mentioned Jake and Malenko because they never won world championships at the highest level.

His gimmick was comical yes, I agree. It was actually over though....pretty sure Japanese audiences may have found it dumb too.

BTW, Omega did this 20+ years after T2....

Fuck Canada and Mexico.

It's no more corny or silly then the stuff we get in American wrestling, dinosaurs, zombies, walking dead-men, dudes losing both eyes then they grow back. Some wrestling is silly and goofy and that's ok.

I would take dudes like him more seriously if he would offer constructive criticism instead of sound off like an old man yelling at the clouds.

None of that corny shit surpasses wrestling a blowup doll..... which your boy Omega has.

It's not about playing second fiddle to Omega it's about not discounting Omega's opinion because he didn't wrestle in the same era as Disco .

Do you honestly believe Omega would have been main eventing during the Attitude Era?

Absolutely. He would've been having banger matches with Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Great Muta, Sting, Flair, etc. Definitely a WCW and IWGP World champ and possibly a WWE World Champ. If Benoit and Guerrero can be WWE World Champ then Omega definitely could. Just as talented as those guys in the ring.

Omega would have been just like Disco, relegated to the midcard.

:lol:You're insane if you believe that. Disco isn't in the same stratosphere as Omega.

Yes, Omega has been world champ in four different promotions, three of which hardly anyone in North America care about.

Only casual fans don't care about it. Real wrestling fans pay attention to shit outside of the WWE.

Disco is like a bench player who soaked up a ton of knowledge by sitting on the pine.

Disco ain't saying nothing that's profound. Omega has gotten praise from the best in the business. Austin, Danielson, Flair, Angle, Jericho, Hart, etc. Who the fuck is praising Disco Inferno?

Just like how it's rare that many top guys become the best coaches in the NBA, some of these midcard guys have better insight in the business because of the roles they play.

That's a false equivalency. A basketball coach runs a team. The equivalent to that in professional wrestling is running a promotion. A mid carder wouldn't have any better perspective on running a promotion than a main eventer would. There's different variables that play a role in that.

Omega is just obsessed with Japan and wants to Cape for anything critical of Japan.....the way you Cape for anything critical of AEW.

I'm sure Omega has no problem with criticism as long as it logically has merit. Disco saying that Stardom wrestling won't translate well in America when you have a guy who sticks his hands in his pockets, fake kicking someone in the shins, a guy who wears a dinosaur mask, a guy who dresses up like Tarzan, yet the Stardom women are silly. The fuck outta here.

Phil was a good coach. Give credit where it's due. Yes, his teams were filled with tons of talent, but dude also had to make all those egos work together.

Phil couldn't make Kobe and Shaq work

Only mentioned Jake and Malenko because they never won world championships at the highest level.

But they performed AT the highes level. Disco?...I mean c'mon!

His gimmick was comical yes, I agree. It was actually over though....pretty sure Japanese audiences may have found it dumb too.

But an American calling out Japanese women wrestlers...IN JAPAN?!?!?! He is making a bullshyt argument that comes off as an old man yelling at kids for playing ON THEIR LAWN!

BTW, Omega did this 20+ years after T2....

And this is the gimmick that he has used day in and day out?

Fuck Canada and Mexico.

Word? It's like that?!?!?

Exactly, people like Disco are the first ones to be talking about how Omega and the Young Bucks expose the business yet don't say shit about all the dumb and silly shit in the attitude era and Hogan cartoon era. Dude literally put a super power into his gimmick. The whole "I'm hulking up you can't hurt me while I'm in hulking up mode". Give me a fucking break.

Not only that but the Stardom women would work circles around Disco. Disco and people like him take one clip from a Stardom show and focus on that and say see this is silly and they don't watch the whole damn match.

Word? It's like that?!?!?

He's a WWE casual. He only cares about WWE wrestling. His whole knowledge and understanding of professional wrestling is through a WWE lens.

And that is your go to EVERY time. As long as WWE never did a blowup doll match they'll always be blameless in your eyes.
Don't recall using that before.....but once is enough to make that my "go to"....every time.

HHH humping a mannequin in a casket in a funeral parlor to simulate necrophilia, now that's some good goddamn wrestling entertainment!
Wasn't watching WWE during that time but have seen the video. That was dumb shit too.

That BS doesn't belong in wrestling.

Disco had a comedy gimmick and yet somehow the shit he did wasn't nearly as goofy as some of the shit that Omega has done. I don't agree with some of Disco's opinions but based on how AEW's women's division has gone under Omega's direction his ideas aren't exactly worth taking too seriously either. Even his run as AEW champion was suspect.

Okay, but we aren't talking about AEW and their womens division, not even womens wrestling in the States. This is about a Japanese womens match...in Japan

Omega doesn't book the women's division though. Omega has his input but ultimately the direction of the women's division falls on Tony Khan. Also, what classic match has Disco had? You can say Omega has done goofy stuff but he delivers classics in the ring.

I respect Disco I first start watching him in Deep South Wrestling in MS, mid 90s he paid his dues. Omega I was a fan of during his Bullet Club days but he crave power and attention (ex. YBs)

Notice the speed of fluidity and how both women work. The creativity and fun in the spots. Now compare that to AEW/WWE matches where everything looks like it's done in slow motion. I can't believe Mei Suruga was in AEW for four months and never had a match on Dynamite or Rampage. Absolutely criminal.

Not able to prove it, but I honestly think Japanese/Mexican women are able to practice their craft more than US women's wrestling
