{The Official 2021-22 NBA Thread} - Finals: Warriors vs Celtics…{4-2 advantage warriors } Dubs NBA champs, Curry MVP

It's just weird to me

I really think it's because he's white and everyone loved Nash as a player, so he's getting a longer leash with the press than the average coach would get

Shit, look at Udoka at the beginning of the year. Dude was like two months in and they put that out there that it possibly was a bad hire by Stevens.

She had a little bubble tho, or was it my phone?

If,the Nets get swept I want the same people that was laughing at Lebron last year to have that same energy for Durant.

Bruh it’s already happening. I didn’t wanna say anything but the internet’s funny and very fickle. People are full of shit and itching to show negativity on any and everything.

Last years playoffs KD was the best player in the world, unstoppable and one of the greatest players ever And his -lay solidified his greatness.

This year Boston’s playing great defense. Now he’s a fraud, shouldn’t be mentioned with the greats and possibly one of the worst humans to ever pick up a basketball! :roflmao:

They are in a small market they aren't going to get any talk time that's just how it goes lol.

I understand, but you had everyone mentioning the Bulls,Heat,Nets,Suns,Lakers and Grizzlies all season. Hell,I even understand why the Lakers and Nets were talked about but the Bulls,Suns and Grizzlies shouldn't been talked about more than the Bucks.

Our record when healthy (top two in the conference) prevented the criticism from most media. Those who actually watched the games realized we we're winning in spite of his ineptitude.

Udoka got that doubt because the Celtics were a really average team for first 50 games (25-25) and the cac media of Boston was quick to blame that black man for their underachieving.

Now Nets start losing and they realize how bad of a coach Nash is while Boston finishes the season 26-6 and the media realizes Udoka just needed to time to catch his footing and install his personality on the team.

What's happening in this series is exactly what should be happening in this series.

Ok let's dissect this...

Cause that very first part?

Goes against EVERYTHING EVERYONE been saying since day one.

We were ALL lead to believe especially after Kyrie comments that THIS WAS THE COACH THEY WANTED AND CHOSE.

And that THEY did not want the previous coach... Kenny Atkinson?

Who if I remember was/is a damn good coach.

So you SURE what you saying is accurate?

And that some revisionist history?

Cause I honestly don't know.

I'm asking.
I’m positive on that. Kenny was a good coach. I’m not sure where it went wrong with him.

Post of the afternoon

That's the thing...

Who wanted Kenny out?

Cause front office appeared to love him

Doesn't it make sense it was KD and Kyrie who asked for a coaching change?

Just saying.

I defer to you.

The media focuses to much on the side shit instead of the actual play.
The best teams were all overshadowed by lakers and nets gossip.
The suns and bucks were rarely discussed
The Heat didn't get discussed much until the blowup on the sideline and once they went back to winning they weren't talked about much and when they did it was usually something that included the blow up.
The league needs to build with the media and try to focus on the good teams and great young talent that will carry the league into the future. Lebron won't be here forever. I don't want to hear shit like when mj retired. There are way too many talented guys in this league if they were given the proper spotlight.

Allegedly this is the story

I remember someone on TV said Kyrie saved Lebron's legacy. Even, though Kyrie never went to the playoffs before Lebron got here but I'm just mind my business..

:hithead::hithead::hithead:

 had nothing to do with Kyrie really it was just lebron hate.....kyrie saved his legacy, Jesus Shuttlesworth saved his legacy, bubble championship..all things said to try and diminish what he has done

Stop whining about the Heat, unfortunately nobody gives a shit about them. And when I say people I mean the general public and basketball fans.

I’m sorry but that’s the reality. No Lebron and the Lakers didn’t deserved to be talked about as much as they did but Lebron’s a face of the NBA and one of if not the most popular player in the league.

Sports media and fans are about stories, drama and a connections to teams and players. Yes the NBA could do a better job at promoting other teams but…

Games are broadcasted and the NBA sees the viewership numbers and player and team popularity is the main reason why a team is broadcasted on tv.

There’s lots of good teams that most don’t really care to see them play, unfortunately that’s the reality.

And if we’re really gonna be honest, the Heat have had good teams in the past and even won a championship in 2006.

But generally fans of the NBA didn’t really want to see the Heat like that until Lebron got there. And now that he’s gone, ain’t nobody tuning in to watch Jimmy or Tyler.

With that said, the Heat are a great organization and they have a very good team.

I find it funny that people gave Green so much credit for "stoppin Jokic" but....

Game 1: 25, 10 and 6

Game 2: 26, 11 and 4

Game 3: 37, 18 and 6

Game 4: 18 points in the 1st.

Draymond never actually stopped shit. Jokic just can't beat Steph, Curry, Klay and now Poole by his damn self. Nobody can
