Johnny's lawyers have to be careful while she's testifying. If they're too easy on her she'll manipulate the court and jury.
If they're too rough on her they make her a sympathetic character and reinforce the narrative that she's a victim.
I've seen more of his grittier stuff like Blow, Donnie Brasco, Sweeney Todd than the Pirates movies which I haven't seen not one. The last movie I saw of his which I saw not far from where that trial is taking place was Black Mass which he probably should have won an Oscar for. So I think you're probably right. The characters he's portrayed have all been quirky and this trial just illustrate he's the perfect fit.

Has there been any recording of him physically abusing her? I saw him snatch her phone and slam cabinets, etc. Her lawyer seems pretty methodical, so I'm wondering if he has a recording up his sleeve to hit him with on Monday.
