also lalo is no joke lolDAMN
I forgot how good this show can be
I forgot how well acted it can be
I forgot how tense & suspenseful it can be
I forgot that the show now is as much about Jimmy Breaking Bad as it is Kim
I forgot how funny it could be with Jimmy in the clubhouse
I forgot that this is the best show on tv and is as good (if not better) than Breaking Bad
Kim beat the fuck out them with the stick lol
that kettleman lady got some nerve to always pass judgement on jimmy/saulJimmy got a soft spot for con ppl like himself
Gave em the cash regardless and Kim knew he would
Didn’t realize til reading a recap today but not only did Lakota use the farmer as a body double but that was always his plan. He paid for his dental work so that they would have matching records
truly calculated cold blooded shit
I peeped that as well and tbh I think that part was a bit of a reach by the writers. I could see the Don Eladio prepping with a body double but Lalo? He's basically a captain or under boss at best.
The whole scenario was pointless anyway because Gus Fring realized Lalo was still alive by the end of the episode.
Having said that I thought the episode was very strong. Nacho is upgrading his survival skills evert minute.

I’m curious to see how much she was invested in the shenanigans that Saul was a part of with Walt/Jesse/Gus.I was listening to some of the recap podcasts last night, and they were noting they were impressed by how the writers are showing Kim "breaking bad" in a way to start off this final season. How she's encouraging Jimmy to lean into his "Saul Goodman" persona. It would have been easier & more predictable for Gilligan, Gould, and company to have her start to distance herself as he further veered to the darkside. But she's clearly a willing participant at this point and is not oblivious to what they're up to.
Hell, it would have been interesting to see her around during Breaking Bad's run. To see what type of shady business she got up to with Saul, and the characters they interacted with during the Breaking Bad timeline post-Better Call Saul.

If she was around was she truly ok with the really shady things he was involved in-like the bombing of the nursing home in breaking bad.
