I gotta check this

All caught up with Bel-Air. The season is almost over. Believe there's 1 episode left.

The series finale of Peaky Blinders is this coming Sunday. Should be interesting to see how they close the storylines, and/or leave some of them open.

Just past the midway point on Reacher. Watched episode 5 the other day.

Finished Pam & Tommy episodes 7 & 8 the other day.

Going to start Winning Time soon, and looking forward to the returns of Better Call Saul, Barry, and Ozark later in April.

No REVIEWS!!!!!?????

No REVIEWS!!!!!?????

The Peaky Blinders' final season hasn't been as strong. As a friend noted - not having aunt Polly (passed in real life) definitely had an impact on this season.

Preferred the 1st half of Pam & Tommy's season over the last 4 episodes.

Reacher's been a fun watch. Nice to see a small town vibe compared to all the shows based in LA, NY, etc. Feels like a "made for TV" show, but you know they've got a big budget behind it given that it's on Prime and all, lol.

Enjoyed Bel-Air. It was hit & miss at times. They needed to do more with the characters of Ashley, Hilary, and Geoffrey. Jabari Banks did a good job in the lead. Adrian Holmes & Cassandra Freeman were great as Uncle Phil and Vivian. Enjoyed watching them all season. "Lisa" was good as Will's love interest. "Carlton" had a better character arc over the course of the season once he became more sympathetic. Actually seeing him and Will bonding, instead of steadily being at odds earlier on. It was too much suspension of disbelief seeing Carlton in the villain role. As for Geoffrey ... he was too mysterious. Needed more material for him to work with in the season. Hilary's whole time was spent cooking & being an influencer. Ashley as the bisexual pre-teen. C'mon now.

Agreed. Abbott - I need to check it out. It's on the To - See List, given all the strong reviews from viewers & critics alike.

Need to get caught back up with Wonder Years. Have a handful of eps saved on the DVR.

People complain about a lack of family viewing especially black faces?

Well in my household that is regularly scheduled appointment viewing

One hour of black excellence

Period

It was crazy!

And melodramatic and graphic and insane.

But never boring.

It was the perfect adult western soap opera

The creator signed a deal to do 6 MORE SERIES ON THERE!

No joke real talk facts i say a prayer my brother @largebillsonlyplease gets an opportunity like this everytime I log on this board.

Ok this probably my next up.

I didn't start moon knight yet

I wanted to start the latest season of young justice but I keep falling asleep

I caught up with the first 2 episodes of Halo and Atlanta.

But after 1883 now I want another western series

And there are so many good ones!

Just so much STUFF!!!!!!

Agreed. I sent the link to my dad and hope I can watch it with him. He's seen dementia / Alzheimers alter the course of many loved ones lives in recent years. An aunt, a longtime neighborhood friend, and one of his best friends currently living with it. Dad's a big fan of both Sam Jackson & Walton Goggins.

In regards to so much stuff being on ... agreed. Network, specialty cable, and all the streaming platforms.

As Andy Greenwald joked on The Watch podcast in March ... you can't expect us to watch all of this stuff for you (the listeners). We aren't going to. There's too much stuff.

Got so many titles jotted down of stuff to eventually watch, and added lots of stuff to Wishlists or saved on flashdrives, lol.

Understand

My dad has that and my friends didn't want me to watch it. Even wanted to go some group watch thing.

I really want to watch it but the more I read the comments

Maybe I might wait.

Oh wow - sorry to hear about your pops, Playa.

My dad's been letting friends and associates of his friend know about the dementia in recent years. They were having trouble communicating with him, and had found he was more withdrawn. Dad explained to them the memory issues, etc. Unfortunately he's the dad of my childhood friend who overdosed last fall. So he's been dealing with the grief and loss of his only child, on top of the dementia.

@playahaitian

My mom is close to my late friend's mom, and dad's close to the guy's father. The friend's mom lives out of town. Whereas the dad has always been local. My friend battled heroin addiction & other issues dating back to about the mid-90s. His parents divorced probably around 1993, and my parents around 1996.

* They've never really gotten along (friend's parents) and haven't had much contact over the years. Blaming one another for enabling their now-late son, etc. One of the toughest things I heard (someone was cutting onions) was that the friend's mom was really pissed off and called her ex-husband lashing out within a week or two of the son's death. Blaming him, etc. Really emotional. She was NOT aware the extent of her ex-husband's dementia. After she finished her rant and explained she was planning on doing a celebration of life for him this coming May (around his birthday) and once covid restrictions were much better than last fall season ... she asked his opinion. He replied:

"I'm not sure ... maybe you can talk to my ex-wife."

She realized he didn't know who she was, and had to remind him it was her.

That really shook her to her core and humanized him more. My mom was telling me that, and man ... like I said ... someone was getting ready to chop onions nearby or something.

The Gilded Age on HBO not action packed but interesting view of New York City in the late 1800's the class status, and how people viewed new money over old if you loved Downton Abbey this is for you.

We Need to Talk About Cosby, episodes 1 and 2 on Showtime is informative and eye opening a lot of things i didnt know about Cosby's early career are presented. The film definitely gives the women who accused him of harrassment a voice. In the middle of one of the episodes i asked my family could they seperate art from the artist basically they feel the same way i do ,what he admitted to doing to various women is terrible but they would still watch Cosby show repeats.

Crazy how Boba Fett keeps getting side lined in his own show but im enjoying this expanded and connected universe im getting weekly.
I cant wait to see the conversation between Luke and Ahsoka about his father during the Clone Wars and his ultimate redemption

This is such a great show

Hope it’s a one and done
I hate the way all these shows are drawn out over multiple seasons

April doesn't look like as many new releases as March was for me. I got Tokyo Vice s1, Mayans MC s4, The flight attendant s2, and We Own This City

Gonna watch the Peaky Blinders series finale (and NCAA final) tonight. Probably aiming to finish the last 3 episodes of Reacher this week, or early next week.

Gonna start Winning Time and The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey within the next week or so.

Waiting on Better Call Saul, Barry, and Ozark later in April.

Thanks for the reminder about season 2 of The Flight Attendant. Enjoyed that 1st season - it had its moments.

So far how you like Reacher?

Winning Time is good. Crazy and apparently every one depicted in it hates it. They make interesting choices with filters and 4th wall curious to hear your take.

I only watched the first few episodes of Barry but I liked it.

I gotta finish Saul I forgot where I left off but that was one show I couldn't binge I loved immersing myself in that world.

Hold on the flight attendant was actually good?

I need to get back to watching Temple as well. Caught a few eps of the 1st season, and have the rest of it (and part of the 2nd season) saved on the DVR. Airs on Showcase here in Canada.

Temple is a British medical crime drama television series. Created by Mark O'Rowe, and starring Mark Strong, Carice Van Houten and Daniel Mays,[1][2] it is based on the Norwegian drama Valkyrien, and premiered 13 September 2019 on Sky One.

On 1 November 2019, Sky renewed Temple for a second series,[3] which began airing on 28 October 2021.

In a labyrinth of abandoned service tunnels below Temple Underground Station, Daniel Milton (Mark Strong), a highly respected surgeon, runs an illegal medical clinic that treats criminals and other desperate patients who cannot or will not seek help from regular medical facilities.[4] Daniel sets up the clinic to find a cure for his wife, Beth (Catherine McCormack) ...
