I don't know how I feel about this though.. A part of me gets defending your wife (although Jada is not the most honorable in my opinion), but it was a joke. I felt like the slap was real when I watched it.. but I feel like he was being extra sensitive and risked a lot by what he did.

I give Chris Rock a lot of credit he took the slap (it didn't stagger him nor did he even hold his face after the slap). In addition, he attempted to talk it out with Will Smith, and then continued on with the show. The fact that he kept his composure when a lot of people would have been trying to retaliate was truly professional.

No need to retaliate now. Chris got a special on Netflix or HBO at some point in the future, and Will is going to be about 10-15min of it. As others have probably said, Wil laughed until he got them daggers from Wifey and then did the only thing he could do if he wanted to go home in peace. Chris can let it go or wait because this here got a shelf life. The jokes for this one are writing themselves. The "Keep my Wife's Name out your Mouth" is not just a softball; it's a Tee-Ball.

On the other hand, to walk up there and slap a dude might be a bit of a concession to the fact that I gotta do something. Especially since I laughed but really I'm not offended. In other words, I'm not buying the performance back at the table either. The situation is real but Will just showed out and took a chance that Rock didn't duck or swing back.
