Kanye West's performance at the Grammys canceled over 'concerning online behavior'

The decision comes after the artist now legally known as Ye was briefly suspended from Instagram for using a racial slur against comedian Trevor Noah.

Kanye West has been removed as a performer at the upcoming 64th Annual Grammy Awards, his rep confirmed to EW.
The rapper (now legally known as Ye) was barred due to his "concerning online behavior," receiving the call before the weekend that he had "unfortunately" been removed from the lineup of performers at the ceremony, set to be held at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April 3.
EW has reached out to CBS and the Recording Academy for comment.
The Blast, which first reported the news, noted the decision was made partially because of concerns over possible interactions between West and the ceremony's host, Trevor Noah. West was briefly suspended from Instagram last week after he used a racial slur against Noah in a post regarding comments made on The Daily Show about West's behavior towards ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, and her boyfriend, Pete Davidson.

"I'll be honest with you — what I see from the situation is a woman who wants to live her life without being harassed by an ex-boyfriend or an ex-husband or an ex-anything," Noah said in the segment. "You may not feel sorry for Kim because she's rich and famous, because she appropriates Black culture ... but what she's going through is terrifying to watch and shines a spotlight on what so many women go through when they choose to leave."
In response, West rewrote the lyrics to "Kumbaya" and called Noah a derogatory slur referring to a Black person who rejects their ethnicity. Noah responded in earnest, writing, "You're an indelible part of my life Ye. Which is why it breaks my heart to see you like this. I don't care if you support Trump, and I don't care if you roast Pete. I do, however, care when I see you on a path that's dangerously close to peril and pain."

On Twitter Sunday, Noah reacted to the news of West's removal from the Grammys lineup, writing, "I said counsel Kanye not cancel Kanye."

West is nominated for five Grammys at the 2022 ceremony, including Album of the Year and Best Rap Album for Donda. Performers set to take the MGM Grand Garden Arena stage include Olivia Rodrigo, BTS, Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X with Jack Harlow, and Brothers Osborne, among others.
The 2022 Grammys airs April 3 at 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST on CBS.

Would be messed up if Ye is a surprise presenter at the Oscars on Sunday..and he brings along Rachel Zegler as his date since she wasnt invited
"..this woman im about to bring on stage, she had the Best Lead Actress performance of ALL TIME!!!" *Rachel walks on stage waving at the audience*

I can't stand to hear and watch this nigga speak.

Man I thought it was just me. The 1st time someone posted his vid on here, I tried to support his channel. He gets posted all the time now. Every now and again I try to listen, but his voice is annoying as fuck. IDK if it's the accent or just that his voice has no presence. I just can't.

He about to f*ck around and find out

Why the Jews got to be so sensitive all the goddamn time? Remember When Ice Cube was called anti-semitic because he called Jerry Heller a thief? Jewish people act like he was talking about all fucking Jewish people.

No, he was talking about one particular Jewish person so you can't say anything about anybody Jewish? Fuck out of here Jewish people sensitive asses

Anytime you hurt a Jewish person's feelings it's anti-Semitic?

Threatening DL Hughley or conjuring a story on SM never works out well. They wind up embarrassing themselves in lieu of the clout they were chasing.

D.L. Hughley Gives His Version of Run-In With Theophilus London Over Kanye Feud
BYJOE PRICE
“Fix your hearts or die.” @BackwoodsAltar

On Monday, rapper Theophilus London made headlines after he appeared to confront D.L. Hughley over comments he made about Kanye West.

London, who previously appeared on Ye’s 2015 track “All Day,” shared a series of posts to his Instagram in which he claimed he pulled up on the comedian to demand that he apologize to Kanye.

“Lmao I told him to apologize on camera for doing that dumb Vlad interview and his people called security,” London wrote alongside a blurry image of Hughley taken at Nobu in Miami. The Jasmine Brand’s re-posting of the clip, as seen below, prompted a response from Claudia Jordan, who called London’s actions “corny as hell!”

After London’s posts circulated on social media, Hughley told Vlad TV what really went down, at least from his perspective.

According to the comedian, he and London did not have any serious confrontation, as London’s posts seemed to imply, and instead they briefly exchanged words.
In one of the videos London posted, he could be seen walking past Hughley as he ate dinner with his family. The comedian told Vlad TV that he noticed London kept walking past the table, and did not appear to be there for any food.

He later got up to go to the bathroom, at which point London approached him and asked about the back-and-forth with Ye. London allegedly told Hughley that he needs to “make it right” with Ye, to which he replied, “[Kanye] needs to make it right.” The comedian claimed that their interaction ended very shortly after that, and he was not “pressed” as London had claimed. In fact, he wasn’t even aware of the photo and videos of him that the rapper took, and added that it was Nobu’s security that asked London to leave.

In an interview with DJ Vlad earlier this month, Hughley said he’d had enough of Ye’s behavior, and accused him of stalking Kim Kardashian. This prompted a response from Ye, in which he suggested he could pay someone to hurt Hughley. Hughley has since responded, in a sign that he has no intention of backing down.
